Les faits se sont produits dans la nuit du jeudi 07 au vendredi 08 d\u00e9cembre. Une bande arm\u00e9e s’est attaqu\u00e9e \u00e0 l’Etat-Major de la gendarmerie de Manf\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9gion anglophone du sud-Ouest . Nos confr\u00e8res de BBC indiquent que le bilan de cette attaque fait \u00e9tat de sept personnes tu\u00e9es. Un gendarme camerounais a succomb\u00e9 aux balles re\u00e7ues.<\/p>\n

\u00abLes assaillants ont attaqu\u00e9 la compagnie aux alentours de 23 heures. Il y a eu des \u00e9changes de coups de feu entre les \u00e9l\u00e9ments qui \u00e9taient de permanence et la bande arm\u00e9e<\/em>\u00bb, rel\u00e8ve un t\u00e9moignage.<\/p>\n

L’\u00e9l\u00e8ve gendarme Keli Herv\u00e9 de la promotion 2015, a \u00e9t\u00e9 abattu par balles. Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des assaillants, cinq personnes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9es lors de l’\u00e9change de tirs. Neuf autres gendarmes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 bless\u00e9s par balles. \u00ab\u00a0Nous avons essay\u00e9 de joindre le commandant mais c\u2019\u00e9tait impossible car les assaillants nous tiraient dessus. C\u2019\u00e9tait difficile pour nous d\u2019appeler le renfort<\/em>\u00bb, explique l\u2019un des gendarmes.<\/p>\n

Certains activistes anglophones exigent le retour au f\u00e9d\u00e9ralisme et une minorit\u00e9 r\u00e9clame la partition du Cameroun. Deux sc\u00e9narios que refusent cat\u00e9goriquement les autorit\u00e9s camerounaises.<\/h6>\n

Rappelons que depuis novembre 2016, le sud-ouest et le nord-ouest du Cameroun sont devenus l’\u00e9picentre d’une grave crise socio-\u00e9conomique et politique. La minorit\u00e9 anglophone repr\u00e9sente environ 20% des 22 millions de Camerounais avec deux r\u00e9gions sur les dix que compte le pays. Au d\u00e9part, le but de la protestation \u00e9tait une simple gr\u00e8ve des avocats pour d\u00e9noncer certaines formes de \u00ab\u00a0marginalisation\u00a0\u00bb dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Aujourd’hui, ces revendications se sont transform\u00e9es en une grave Crise politique et s\u00e9curitaire.<\/p>\n
