Pour ces scientifiques, la long\u00e9vit\u00e9 d\u00e9pend plut\u00f4t de l’environnement que des g\u00eanes. <\/span><\/h6>\n

C’est ce qu’a indiqu\u00e9 le groupe international\u00a0 des g\u00e9n\u00e9ticiens. Ils ont d’ailleurs expliqu\u00e9 comment s’op\u00e8re<\/span>\u00a0le changement de la r\u00e9gulation \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tique chez des jumeaux au fil du temps. L’un des facteurs du vieillissement de l’homme est la m\u00e9thylation de l’ADN. Il s’agit<\/span>\u00a0d’un processus \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tique qui conduit \u00e0 la modification de la mol\u00e9cule de l’ADN sans alt\u00e9rer la s\u00e9quence des nucl\u00e9ides. Par exemple, l’ADN emp\u00eachant le d\u00e9veloppement d’ath\u00e9roscl\u00e9rose s’affaiblit avec l’\u00e2ge tandis que celui qui provoque les maladies neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratives devient plus actif.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Par le pass\u00e9, on\u00a0pensait que c’\u00e9tait des facteurs h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaires qui \u00e9taient cens\u00e9s influencer la m\u00e9thylation. Mais \u00e0 la suite des recherches des g\u00e9n\u00e9ticiens, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvert que la r\u00e9gulation \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tique \u00e9tait en fait d\u00e9termin\u00e9e par l’environnement.<\/p>\n

A l’aide de la m\u00e9thode des jumeaux,\u00a0385 volontaires dont l’\u00e2ge moyen est de 69 ans ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pris pour \u00e9chantillon en Su\u00e8de. Leur sang a \u00e9t\u00e9 examin\u00e9 pendant 20 ans. Les chercheurs ont d\u00e9couvert de nombreuses formes de la m\u00e9thylation dont aucune n’\u00e9tait li\u00e9e aux facteurs h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaires. La m\u00e9thylation se diff\u00e9renciant de plus en plus entre les jumeaux avec le temps.<\/p>\n

D’apr\u00e8s les g\u00e9n\u00e9ticiens, les r\u00e9sultats de la recherche d\u00e9montrent que le vieillissement de l’homme d\u00e9pend dans une large mesure des effets stochastiques et des conditions de l’environnement.
