Aussi, Sciences et Avenir a dress\u00e9 le classement des pays selon la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019air et ce, en s\u2019appuyant sur une r\u00e9cente \u00e9tude de la revue scientifique\u00a0<em>The Lancet<\/em>, financ\u00e9e par la fondation Bill et Melinda Gates.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Les crit\u00e8res retenus par le classement<\/h2>\n<p>Les crit\u00e8res retenus sont\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>la qualit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;air int\u00e9rieur (household air pollution)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Elle est \u00e9valu\u00e9e en fonction de l\u2019activit\u00e9 humaine, comme la circulation automobile, l\u2019industrie, le mode de cuisson ou de chauffage. A ces facteurs s\u2019ajoutent des facteurs naturels comme la poussi\u00e8re ou le sable.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>le niveau de concentration en particules fines PM2.5<\/li>\n<li>le taux de mortalit\u00e9 attribuable \u00e0 la pollution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Au plan mondial, c\u2019est la Nouvelle-Z\u00e9lande (100) qui jouit du meilleur air, suivi de la Su\u00e8de (99.66) et de l\u2019Australie (98.66).<\/p>\n<p>Ensuite, sur le continent africain, les Seychelles, Maurice et 3 pays du Maghreb caracolent en t\u00eate. Les pays situ\u00e9s dans la zone du Sahel souffrent de l\u2019air le plus pollu\u00e9 du continent. Cela pourrait s\u2019expliquer par la cumulation de facteurs humains et naturels accentuant la pollution.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Classement des pays africains par indice de qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019air<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>(100 correspond aux objectifs des Nations Unies). Les pays sont donc \u00e9valu\u00e9s sur un score de 100.
