Ce sont des empreintes fossilis\u00e9es\u00a0de pattes \u00e0 trois orteils. Ce sont les plus grandes traces de pied de\u00a0th\u00e9ropodes\u00a0trouv\u00e9es sur le continent africain.\u00a0Les th\u00e9ropodes sont compos\u00e9s de dinosaures saurischiens majoritairement carnivores.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;annonce de la d\u00e9couverte a donc \u00e9t\u00e9 faite, mercredi dans la revue scientifique am\u00e9ricaine Plos One.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"fr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/newdinosaur?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#newdinosaur<\/a> The newly discovered dinosaur, called Kayentapus ambrokholohali, from Early Jurassic was estimated to be 9m long, or 30 feet. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/piIzAN9n7q\">pic.twitter.com\/piIzAN9n7q<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Dino Info (@DinoInfo65) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DinoInfo65\/status\/923272289168384003?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">25 octobre 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Ils ont mentionn\u00e9 que ses pieds mesuraient 57 centim\u00e8tres de long sur 50 centim\u00e8tres de large.<\/h3>\n<p>Le dinosaure nouvellement d\u00e9couvert, appel\u00e9 Kayentapus ambrokholohali a \u00e9t\u00e9 estim\u00e9 \u00e0 9 m de long. Ils ont \u00e9galement rapport\u00e9 que le dinosaure pouvait faire 3 m\u00e8tres de haut. Il pourrait faire 4 fois la taille d&rsquo;un lion.<\/p>\n<p>Selon les chercheurs, ce sont des empreintes tr\u00e8s rares et elles correspondent \u00e0\u00a0des traces similaires trouv\u00e9es sur un site situ\u00e9 en Pologne et datant de\u00a0l&rsquo;\u00e8re du jurassique.<\/p>\n<p>Il faut noter que les pal\u00e9ontologues pensaient qu&rsquo;\u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque du Jurassique, il n&rsquo;y avait que les dinosaures de petites tailles. Cette d\u00e9couverte montre que les dinosaures de grandes tailles existaient aussi bien \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque..<\/p>\n<p>C&rsquo;est sur une couche g\u00e9ologique ancienne au Lesotho que ces empreintes datant de 200 millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es ont \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Lara Sciscio, chercheuse \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 du Cap a expliqu\u00e9 que: \u00ab\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<em>ces empreintes de pied de grande taille sont tr\u00e8s rares dans le monde.<\/em><\/strong> Il n\u2019existe qu\u2019un seul autre site connu datant \u00e9galement de 200 millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es o\u00f9 des traces similaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvertes.
