{"id":85843,"date":"2017-10-10T18:11:55","date_gmt":"2017-10-10T18:11:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.afrikmag.com\/?p=85843"},"modified":"2017-10-10T18:11:55","modified_gmt":"2017-10-10T18:11:55","slug":"kenya-principal-opposant-odinga-se-retire-de-presidentielle-26-octobre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/var\/www\/vhosts\/afrikmag.compublic_html\/kenya-principal-opposant-odinga-se-retire-de-presidentielle-26-octobre\/","title":{"rendered":"Kenya : le principal opposant Raila Odinga se retire de la pr\u00e9sidentielle du 26 octobre !"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6><strong><em>Un mois \u00e0 peine, le leader de l\u2019opposition Kenyane, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.afrikmag.com\/raila-odinga-pose-conditions-participer-presidentielle-du-17-octobre\/\">Raila Odinga<\/a> avait pos\u00e9 des conditions pour prendre part aux \u00e9lections pr\u00e9sidentielles pr\u00e9alablement fix\u00e9es au 17 octobre 2017 dans le pays.<\/em><\/strong><\/h6>\n<h4>Aujourd\u2019hui, il annonce son retrait de l&rsquo;\u00e9lection pr\u00e9sidentielle du 26 octobre prochain.<\/h4>\n<p>En effet, cette d\u00e9cision fait suite \u00e0 l&rsquo;invalidation en justice de la r\u00e9\u00e9lection du pr\u00e9sident sortant Uhuru Kenyatta lors du scrutin du 8 ao\u00fbt.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Tenant compte des int\u00e9r\u00eats du peuple du Kenya, de la r\u00e9gion et du monde, nous pensons que l&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat de tous sera mieux servi par l&rsquo;abandon de la candidature pr\u00e9sidentielle (de la coalition d&rsquo;opposition, ndlr) \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9lection pr\u00e9vue le 26 octobre 2017\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Odinga lors d&rsquo;une conf\u00e9rence de presse \u00e0 Nairobi.<\/p>\n<p>Saisie par l&rsquo;opposition, la Cour supr\u00eame du Kenya avait invalid\u00e9 le 1er septembre, la r\u00e9\u00e9lection de M. Kenyatta avec 54,27% des voix, contre 44,74% \u00e0 M. Odinga, \u00e9voquant des irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9s dans la transmission des r\u00e9sultats accablant la Commission \u00e9lectorale (IEBC) pour sa gestion du scrutin, et ordonnant la tenue d&rsquo;une nouvelle \u00e9lection.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;opposition avait ensuite conditionn\u00e9 sa participation au nouveau scrutin, pr\u00e9vu le 26 octobre, \u00e0 une r\u00e9forme en profondeur de l&rsquo;IEBC, dont l&rsquo;\u00e9viction de plusieurs de ses responsables.<\/p>\n<p>Elle a \u00e9galement organis\u00e9 des manifestations contre l&rsquo;IEBC alors que se sont multipli\u00e9es les invectives entre pouvoir et opposition.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0Nous sommes arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 la conclusion que l&rsquo;IEBC n&rsquo;a pas l&rsquo;intention d&rsquo;entreprendre les changements au niveau de ses op\u00e9rations et de son personnel pour garantir que les ill\u00e9galit\u00e9s et irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9s qui ont conduit \u00e0 l&rsquo;invalidation du scrutin du 8 ao\u00fbt ne se reproduisent pas\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9taill\u00e9 M. Odinga.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0Tout indique que l&rsquo;\u00e9lection pr\u00e9vue le 26 octobre sera pire que la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, a-t-il ajout\u00e9, estimant que son retrait implique que l&rsquo;\u00e9lection du 26 octobre doit \u00eatre \u00ab\u00a0annul\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb et qu&rsquo;un nouveau processus \u00e9lectoral doit \u00eatre organis\u00e9 \u00e0 une date ult\u00e9rieure.<\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9elles implications de ce retrait sont toutefois pour l&rsquo;heure incertaines, et devraient faire l&rsquo;objet d&rsquo;une \u00e2pre bataille sur l&rsquo;interpr\u00e9tation des textes de loi.<\/p>\n<p>Emeraude ASSAH<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Un mois \u00e0 peine, le leader de l\u2019opposition Kenyane, Raila Odinga avait pos\u00e9 des conditions pour prendre part aux \u00e9lections pr\u00e9sidentielles pr\u00e9alablement fix\u00e9es au 17 octobre 2017 dans le pays.
