{"id":83436,"date":"2017-09-28T12:46:22","date_gmt":"2017-09-28T12:46:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.afrikmag.com\/?p=83436"},"modified":"2017-09-28T12:46:22","modified_gmt":"2017-09-28T12:46:22","slug":"contraception-chercheurs-ont-decouvert-un-moyen-de-mettre-au-point-la-pilule-masculine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/var\/www\/vhosts\/afrikmag.compublic_html\/contraception-chercheurs-ont-decouvert-un-moyen-de-mettre-au-point-la-pilule-masculine\/","title":{"rendered":"Contraception: des chercheurs d\u00e9couvrent un moyen de mettre au point la pilule masculine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alors que des chercheurs marseillais travaillaient sur la leuc\u00e9mie, ils ont d\u00e9couvert une nouvelle piste prometteuse pour mettre au point la pilule contraceptive masculine.<\/p>\n<p>Des chercheurs fran\u00e7ais du Centre de recherche en canc\u00e9rologie de Marseille ont publi\u00e9 leurs travaux dans\u00a0la revue\u00a0<em>Plos Genetics<\/em>. \u00ab\u00a0<em>Le c\u0153ur de nos travaux consiste \u00e0 comprendre si un d\u00e9faut d\u2019expression ou de r\u00e9gulation de certaines prot\u00e9ines pr\u00e9sentes \u00e0 la surface des cellules, comme la prot\u00e9ine JAM-C, explique l\u2019\u00e9volution de cellules-souches du sang vers une forme canc\u00e9reuse\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb, explique\u00a0Michel Aurrand-Lions, responsable des recherches.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019exp\u00e9rience a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e sur des souris d\u00e9pourvues de cette prot\u00e9ine. Les chercheurs ont remarqu\u00e9 que tous les m\u00e2les \u00e9taient devenus st\u00e9riles. Ils ont explor\u00e9 cette piste et ont d\u00e9couvert que la prot\u00e9ine JAM-C participait \u00e0 la maturation des\u00a0spermatozo\u00efdes.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0<em>La JAM-C est indispensable \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tape de la polarisation qui donne un aspect de t\u00eatard aux spermatozo\u00efdes<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, pr\u00e9cise<em>\u00a0l\u2019Inserm<\/em>\u00a0qui a repris l\u2019\u00e9tude.\u00a0Cette prot\u00e9ine jouerait donc un r\u00f4le d\u00e9terminant dans la spermatogen\u00e8se.<\/p>\n<p>Les chercheurs ont ensuite d\u00e9couvert que cette prot\u00e9ine interagissait avec une autre appel\u00e9e GRASP55. \u00ab\u00a0<em>En inhibant l\u2019expression du g\u00e8ne GRASP55, nous avons de nouveau observ\u00e9 que les m\u00e2les \u00e9taient st\u00e9riles<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, explique\u00a0Michel Aurrand-Lions.<\/p>\n<p>Les chercheurs sont arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 la conclusion qu\u2019en emp\u00eachant l\u2019interaction entre ces deux prot\u00e9ines, la\u00a0maturation des spermatozo\u00efdes pouvait \u00eatre stopp\u00e9e et ainsi rendre\u00a0st\u00e9riles\u00a0des souris, et donc peut-\u00eatre un jour des hommes.<\/p>\n<p>Selon les chercheurs, trois mol\u00e9cules jouent ce r\u00f4le. Parmi elles, la graspine qui a permis\u00a0le blocage transitoire de la spermatogen\u00e8se, associ\u00e9 \u00e0 une bonne tol\u00e9rance chez les souris. \u00ab\u00a0<em>Des mol\u00e9cules plus stables doivent maintenant \u00eatre d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, temp\u00e8re Michel Aurrand-Lions.<\/p>\n<p>Mais le travail des chercheurs sur le d\u00e9veloppement de ces\u00a0mol\u00e9cules s\u2019arr\u00eate l\u00e0. Ils ont repris leurs recherches sur la leuc\u00e9mie.
