{"id":83211,"date":"2017-09-27T11:06:26","date_gmt":"2017-09-27T11:06:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.afrikmag.com\/?p=83211"},"modified":"2017-09-27T11:30:14","modified_gmt":"2017-09-27T11:30:14","slug":"cote-divoire-la-cpi-decide-de-maintenir-laurent-gbagbo-en-detention","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/var\/www\/vhosts\/afrikmag.compublic_html\/cote-divoire-la-cpi-decide-de-maintenir-laurent-gbagbo-en-detention\/","title":{"rendered":"C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire : la CPI d\u00e9cide de maintenir Laurent Gbagbo en d\u00e9tention"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6><strong><em>Dans un communiqu\u00e9, la CPI a estim\u00e9, mardi 26 septembre, que la d\u00e9tention est la seule mesure qui garantisse la participation de l\u2019ancien pr\u00e9sident \u00e0 son proc\u00e8s.<\/em><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>En juillet dernier, une premi\u00e8re d\u00e9cision de la chambre de premi\u00e8re instance de la Cour p\u00e9nale internationale (CPI) avait \u00e9t\u00e9 cass\u00e9e en appel.<\/p>\n<p>Mais le r\u00e9examen de la demande de Laurent Gbagbo n\u2019a rien chang\u00e9 \u00e0 la sentence finale : la CPI a rejet\u00e9 la demande de remise en libert\u00e9 de l\u2019ancien pr\u00e9sident ivoirien.<\/p>\n<h4>Ses avocats et soutiens comptaient beaucoup sur cette initiative.<\/h4>\n<p>Balayant ainsi du revers de la main, les arguments de ceux qui disent que le proc\u00e8s pourrait se poursuivre sans aucun probl\u00e8me m\u00eame si Laurent Gbagbo \u00e9tait lib\u00e9r\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Dans un communiqu\u00e9 publi\u00e9, mardi 26 septembre, la Cour estime <em>\u00ab que la d\u00e9tention demeure la seule mesure qui garantisse la participation de Laurent Gbagbo au proc\u00e8s, et qu\u2019elle est donc raisonnable, appropri\u00e9e et n\u00e9cessaire. \u00bb \u00ab L\u2019existence d\u2019un r\u00e9seau de partisans qui pourrait l\u2019aider \u00e0 \u00e9chapper \u00e0 la justice \u00bb<\/em> ou qui pourrait exercer des pressions sur des t\u00e9moins a notamment \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tudi\u00e9e, pr\u00e9cise le communiqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h4>La v\u00e9ritable lib\u00e9ration sera donc finalement conditionn\u00e9e au verdict final de ce proc\u00e8s.<\/h4>\n<p>Cette nouvelle fait sueur froide dans le camp des supporters de Laurent Gbagbo qui soupiraient en douce la lib\u00e9ration de leur idole.<\/p>\n<p>La CPI estime \u00e9galement que l\u2019\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 de l\u2019ancien pr\u00e9sident s\u2019est \u00ab am\u00e9lior\u00e9 \u00bb et qu\u2019il permet un maintien en d\u00e9tention.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis plusieurs mois, plusieurs proches de Laurent Gbagbo faisaient en effet savoir qu\u2019\u00e0 72 ans l\u2019ancien pr\u00e9sident ivoirien faisait face \u00e0 des probl\u00e8mes m\u00e9dicaux.<\/p>\n<p>Emeraude ASSAH<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dans un communiqu\u00e9, la CPI a estim\u00e9, mardi 26 septembre, que la d\u00e9tention est la seule mesure qui garantisse la participation de l\u2019ancien pr\u00e9sident \u00e0 son proc\u00e8s.
