S\u00e9rie de scandales<\/h2>\n

Une s\u00e9rie de scandales politico-financiers a \u00e9clabouss\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident Jacob Zuma. A c\u00f4t\u00e9 de cela, il est tenu responsable de la r\u00e9cession \u00e9conomique qui secoue le pays.<\/p>\n

L\u2019opposition \u00e0 l\u2019initiative de cette motion, esp\u00e8re ainsi rallier des d\u00e9put\u00e9s du parti au pouvoir, le Congr\u00e8s national africain (ANC). Au sein de son parti, les critiques contre Jacob Zuma ne cessent de cro\u00eetre. Et c\u2019est sur les m\u00e9contents de l\u2019ANC que l\u2019opposition compte pour recueillir la majorit\u00e9 absolue des voix des d\u00e9put\u00e9s, soit 201 voix sur 400, et faire tomber le chef de l\u2019Etat.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Limogeage d’un anti-corruption<\/strong><\/h2>\n

L\u2019ANC a tr\u00e8s mal pris le revers qu\u2019il a subi aux \u00e9lections municipales d’ao\u00fbt 2016. A cela s\u2019ajoute le limogeage en mars du ministre des Finances, Pravin Gordhan, qui \u00e9tait un anti-corruption. Il a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 remplac\u00e9 par un fid\u00e8le du pr\u00e9sident. De plus en plus, les appels \u00e0 la d\u00e9mission de Jacob Zuma se multiplient. Ils \u00e9manent aussi bien des v\u00e9t\u00e9rans de l’ANC, de syndicats que de personnalit\u00e9s politiques, comme Pravin Gordhan.<\/p>\n

Cependant, il apparait quelque peu utopique que la motion de d\u00e9fiance soit adopt\u00e9e. En effet, c\u2019est loin d\u2019\u00eatre gagn\u00e9 parce que tous ceux qui ont critiqu\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident Zuma ne vont pas n\u00e9cessairement voter contre. C\u2019est ce qu\u2019a confirm\u00e9 Jackson Mthembu, patron du groupe parlementaire ANC. Il est un fervent critique du pr\u00e9sident Zuma, il le consid\u00e8re comme corrompu mais il veut s\u2019en d\u00e9barrasser selon les r\u00e8gles de l\u2019ANC. Pour lui, on ne peut pas \u2018utiliser les g\u00e9n\u00e9raux de l\u2019arm\u00e9e ennemie\u2019 pour faire tomber son propre chef.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

L’ANC, poss\u00e9dant une large majorit\u00e9 de 249 si\u00e8ges au parlement, a assur\u00e9 qu’il n’avait \u00ab\u00a0aucun doute sur l’\u00e9chec de cette motion, comme ce fut le cas pour beaucoup d’autres dans le pass\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb. Le pr\u00e9sident Zuma, qui est au pouvoir depuis 2009, a d\u00e9j\u00e0 surv\u00e9cu \u00e0 trois motions de d\u00e9fiance vot\u00e9es.
