Ce dernier a profit\u00e9 pour affirmer que \u00ab\u00a0<em>Le p\u00e9trole et le gaz ne peuvent pas employer des millions de personnes contrairement \u00e0 l\u2019agriculture. Nous devons donc travailler dur pour gagner des devises en passant du p\u00e9trole \u00e0 l\u2019agriculture<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Plus tard, dans la journ\u00e9e, au cours d\u2019une conf\u00e9rence de presse, le ministre a indiqu\u00e9 que le gouvernement veut encourager le commerce ext\u00e9rieur. Pour ce faire, le montant des taxes d\u2019inspection sur les produits export\u00e9s sera r\u00e9duit. \u00ab\u00a0<em>Pour rendre l\u2019igname comp\u00e9titif, nous devons trouver des emballages et le type de camions adapt\u00e9s pour transporter le produit<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Le Nigeria produit, selon l\u2019Organisation des Nations Unies pour l\u2019alimentation et l\u2019agriculture (FAO), 61% de la production mondiale. Le ministre a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que toute la production de tubercule n\u2019est pas consomm\u00e9e dans le pays et une partie est gaspill\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>En ao\u00fbt dernier, le prix de l\u2019igname qui est l\u2019aliment de base au Nigeria, a explos\u00e9 lorsque le pays \u00e9tait entr\u00e9 en r\u00e9cession avec la chute du prix du baril.
