L’Organisation des Nations Unies a mis en garde jeudi 16 mars contre une \u00ab\u00a0r\u00e9duction abrupte\u00a0\u00bb de ses financements apr\u00e8s que les \u00c9tats-Unis ont d\u00e9voil\u00e9 un projet de budget qui pr\u00e9voit de r\u00e9duire leurs contributions \u00e0 des missions des Nations unies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

L’Organisation des Nations Unies s’est inqui\u00e9t\u00e9e, jeudi 16 mars, des cons\u00e9quences d’une coupe brutale des fonds qui lui sont accord\u00e9s par les \u00c9tats-Unis. En effet, le pr\u00e9sident Donald Trump a propos\u00e9 le m\u00eame jour, son premier budget. Ledit budget vise une baisse drastique des ressources allou\u00e9es \u00e0 la diplomatie et au climat pour compenser une hausse spectaculaire des d\u00e9penses de d\u00e9fense. Selon ce projet budg\u00e9taire, la contribution des \u00c9tats-Unis aux Nations unies \u00ab\u00a0serait r\u00e9duite\u00a0\u00bb et Washington ne participerait pas \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0plus de 25 % des co\u00fbts des op\u00e9rations de maintien de la paix\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Des r\u00e9ductions abruptes de financements peuvent contraindre \u00e0 l’adoption de mesures ad hoc qui saperont l’impact \u00e0 long terme des efforts de r\u00e9forme\u00a0\u00bb, a averti St\u00e9phane Dujarric, porte-parole du secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019ONU.
