A Londres, Moaza Al Matrooshi, une jeune femme de 24 ans vient de devenir maman gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son tissu ovarien congel\u00e9 lorsqu&rsquo;elle avait 9 ans.<strong> Une premi\u00e8re mondiale\u00a0!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0C&rsquo;est la premi\u00e8re fois que la proc\u00e9dure r\u00e9ussit sur une fille pr\u00e9pub\u00e8re<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, annonce le communiqu\u00e9 du Pr Helen Picton, qui avait congel\u00e9, en 2001, le tissu ovarien de Moaza Al Matrooshi. En effet, la jeune maman souffre depuis sa naissance de thalass\u00e9mie, une maladie du sang g\u00e9n\u00e9tique et h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaire se caract\u00e9risant par un d\u00e9faut de fabrication de l\u2019h\u00e9moglobine. Avant de recevoir un don de moelle osseuse de son fr\u00e8re et de subir une\u00a0chimioth\u00e9rapie\u00a0qui aurait pu affecter sa fertilit\u00e9, les m\u00e9decins ont choisi de retirer et de congeler son ovaire droit afin de pr\u00e9server ses chances d&rsquo;\u00eatre m\u00e8re. Je n&rsquo;ai pas arr\u00eat\u00e9 d&rsquo;esp\u00e9rer et maintenant j&rsquo;ai ce b\u00e9b\u00e9<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, explique Moaza sur BBC. Pour les m\u00e9decins de l\u2019h\u00f4pital priv\u00e9 de Portland o\u00f9 la naissance a eu lieu, il s\u2019agit d\u2019un vrai \u00ab\u00a0<em>miracle<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0. D\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e2ge de 20 ans, elle aurait pu \u00eatre st\u00e9rile. Mais en 2015, des chirurgiens danois transplantent 4 morceaux de tissu ovarien sur son ovaire gauche et un sur son ut\u00e9rus. Apr\u00e8s l\u2019op\u00e9ration, les niveaux d&rsquo;hormones de la jeune femme sont progressivement revenus \u00e0 la normale avec des cycles r\u00e9guliers. Moaza et son mari ont ensuite eu recours \u00e0 une\u00a0f\u00e9condation in vitro\u00a0afin d\u2019augmenter les chances de grossesse. Au total, trois embryons se sont form\u00e9s et deux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 implant\u00e9s, expliquent les experts.<\/p>\n<p><em>Dans le monde, plus de 60 b\u00e9b\u00e9s sont n\u00e9s apr\u00e8s une restauration de la fertilit\u00e9 chez une femme, mais Moaza est le premier cas de cong\u00e9lation pr\u00e9-pubertaire et la premi\u00e8re patiente ayant suivi un traitement contre la b\u00eata-thalass\u00e9mie.<\/em> Plus t\u00f4t cette ann\u00e9e, une patiente canc\u00e9reuse d&rsquo;\u00c9dimbourg est devenue la premi\u00e8re femme britannique \u00e0 accoucher apr\u00e8s une transplantation de son tissu ovarien congel\u00e9.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Voici une prouesse m\u00e9dicale qui nous vient tout droit d\u2019Angleterre.
