Il fallait vraiment s’y attendre, l’actuel Pr\u00e9sident Zimbabw\u00e9en sera candidat aux prochaines \u00e9lections pr\u00e9sidentielles de 2018. Robert Mugabe a \u00e9t\u00e9 investi ce samedi par son parti,\u00a0\u00a0la ZANU-PF.<\/p>\n

A l’issue du congr\u00e8s qui lui a donn\u00e9 l’onction,\u00a0le chef de l\u2019Etat a appel\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019unit\u00e9 de ses partisans. V\u00eatu d\u2019une veste noire, verte et jaune \u00e0 son effigie, Robert Mugabe a d\u00e9clar\u00e9\u00a0: \u00a0\u00abNous sommes venus avec nos propres probl\u00e8mes, que nous avons \u00e9cout\u00e9s et entendus. Nous sommes \u00e9galement venus en sachant bien que nous avions des diff\u00e9rences. Mais nous avons convenu que nos diff\u00e9rends devraient cesser, ainsi que ces luttes inutiles\u00bb.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Robert Mugabe a d\u00fb faire face \u00e0 des manifestations in\u00e9dites dans le pays au cours de l’ann\u00e9e 2016.<\/p>\n

Au pouvoir depuis 36 ans, soit depuis l’ind\u00e9pendance de l’ancienne colonie britannique en 1980, Robert Mugabe \u00e2g\u00e9 de 98 ans, et frapp\u00e9 d’une sant\u00e9 fragile,\u00a0n\u2019a pas d\u00e9sign\u00e9 de successeur. Il n’a d’ailleurs pas manqu\u00e9 un jour d’affirm\u00e9 sur le ton de la plaisanterie qu\u2019il resterait au pouvoir jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ses 100 ans.<\/p>\n

Sa femme, Grace Mugabe, avait \u00e9t\u00e9 un temps pressentie<\/strong><\/p>\n

Il y a quelques temps, celle qui \u00e9tait pressentie pour la succession de Robert Mugabe, c’\u00e9tait son \u00e9pouse Gr\u00e2ce Mugabe, la vice-secr\u00e9taire du parti. Mais plusieurs\u00a0estiment qu\u2019\u00ab\u00a0elle ne serait pas capable de garder le soutien de l\u2019arm\u00e9e et des services de s\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Piers Pigou indiquait aussi que, malgr\u00e9 la contestation dans le parti, \u00ab\u00a0la carri\u00e8re de beaucoup de membres de la ZANU-PF d\u00e9pend de Robert Mugabe\u00a0\u00bb.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Le vieil homme \u00e0 la fine moustache et aux\u00a0lunettes continue de s\u00e9duire une partie de l’opinion\u00a0en tenant t\u00eate \u00e0 l’Occident avec ses tirades anti-imp\u00e9rialistes et ses provocations.<\/p>\n
