Eric est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 en droit de l’Universit\u00e9 Catholique de l’Afrique orientale. D\u00e8s son jeune \u00e2ge, il avait pris sa d\u00e9cision de lancer sa propre entreprise apr\u00e8s l’\u00e9cole.<\/h3>\n

Il a d’abord remarqu\u00e9 les probl\u00e8mes auxquels \u00e9taient confront\u00e9s les producteurs de bananes \u00e0 Meru, sa ville natale dans le centre du Kenya. Meru est l’une des plus grandes r\u00e9gions productrices de bananes dans son pays. Il a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de d\u00e9marrer une entreprise qui ach\u00e8terait des bananes brutes des agriculteurs locaux \u00e0 des prix garantis, les transformer en farine de banane et de les emballer pour la vente.<\/p>\n

Voici l’id\u00e9e qui l’a motiv\u00e9 \u00e0 cr\u00e9er sa compagnie Stawi Foods.<\/h3>\n

Stawi Foods \u00a0a am\u00e9lior\u00e9 la vie de milliers de producteurs de bananes. Il a \u00e9galement contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 augmenter la dur\u00e9e de conservation des bananes. Il a r\u00e9duit \u00a0le probl\u00e8me de stockage, de pourriture et de gaspillage alimentaire des bananes si elles ne sont pas vendues peu apr\u00e8s la r\u00e9colte. La farine de banane, qui est fabriqu\u00e9e \u00e0 partir de bananes vertes trait\u00e9es, est sans gluten et nutritifs. Elle peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour fabriquer des aliments pour b\u00e9b\u00e9s, du porridge, de la nourriture en pur\u00e9e, les aliments et les soupes.<\/p>\n

Ce produit est vendu et distribu\u00e9 dans plusieurs grands supermarch\u00e9s \u00e0 travers le Kenya.<\/h3>\n

L’id\u00e9e d’Eric Muthomi permet d\u00e9sormais aux producteurs de bananes vivant au Kenya de gagner 30 pour cent de plus sur les ventes des bananes que si elles \u00e9taient vendues sur les march\u00e9s locaux.<\/p>\n

En outre, la vente de leurs r\u00e9coltes de bananes \u00e0 un acheteur est garantie. Ils sont prot\u00e8g\u00e9s contre les bas prix et la fluctuation des prix. Cela aide beaucoup les jeunes \u00e0 avoir un emploi r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9 en tant que producteurs de bananes.<\/p>\n

Son entreprise travaille avec plus de 100 groupes d’agriculteurs \u00e0 Meru. Ils fournissent les bananes utilis\u00e9es pour la fabrication de la farine.
