Une Australienne enceinte a eu la surprise d’apprendre qu’elle avait con\u00e7u un deuxi\u00e8me b\u00e9b\u00e9 dix jours apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de sa premi\u00e8re grossesse, sans avoir eu d’autres rapports sexuels avec son mari. Un cas extr\u00eamement rare d\u00fb \u00e0 certains facteurs. Kate Hill a connu des difficult\u00e9s pour concevoir un enfant, souffrant d’un syndrome des ovaires polykystiques diagnostiqu\u00e9 en 2006. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la m\u00e9decine, elle a pu tomber enceinte. Et quelle ne fut pas la surprise de cette Australienne r\u00e9sidant \u00e0 Brisbane quand elle a d\u00e9couvert qu’elle avait con\u00e7u deux b\u00e9b\u00e9s en dix jours.<\/p>\n

Une situation tellement rare que seulement dix cas ont \u00e9t\u00e9 recens\u00e9s dans le monde. Today Tonight relate cette histoire hors du commun.<\/h3>\n

Ce cas de double grossesse est appel\u00e9 superf\u00e9tation. \u00ab\u00a0J’\u00e9tais tomb\u00e9e enceinte et mon corps a spontan\u00e9ment lib\u00e9r\u00e9 un deuxi\u00e8me ovule, donnant deux embryons avec deux \u00e2ges gestationnels diff\u00e9rents\u00a0\u00bb,<\/strong> explique Kate Hill. Dans la tr\u00e8s grande majorit\u00e9 des cas, les femmes n’ovulent plus une fois qu’elles sont enceintes. Et cette gestation pour le moins surprenante l’est encore plus lorsque la jeune maman explique qu’elle n’a pas eu d’autres rapports sexuels avec son mari entre temps.<\/p>\n

Son obst\u00e9tricien \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital Greenslopes Private Hospital, Dr Brad Armstrong raconte qu’il n’avait jamais connu ce type de grossesse auparavant. Pour aider sa patiente, il a cherch\u00e9 des informations dans la litt\u00e9rature m\u00e9dicale et sur des sites sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s. Mais n’ayant trouv\u00e9 aucune r\u00e9ponse, il a du se tourner vers Google.<\/p>\n

Initialement, l’Australienne attendait des jumeaux avant de tomber enceinte une deuxi\u00e8me fois, elle aurait donc du avoir des tripl\u00e9s. Malheureusement, la jeune femme a perdu l’un des jumeaux au d\u00e9but de sa grossesse. Pour les deux f\u0153tus viables, les m\u00e9decins lui ont annonc\u00e9 que les dates du terme \u00e9taient le 20 et le 30 d\u00e9cembre 2015. Afin d’\u00e9viter des complications lors de l’accouchement, une c\u00e9sarienne a \u00e9t\u00e9 programm\u00e9e. Mais Kate Hill n’a pas men\u00e9 sa grossesse jusque-l\u00e0 : ses deux b\u00e9b\u00e9s sont n\u00e9s deux jours avant la date pr\u00e9vue pour l’op\u00e9ration. Elle a donn\u00e9 naissance \u00e0 deux petites filles : Charlotte et Olivia.<\/p>\n
