Les patients d’un h\u00f4pital du sous-comt\u00e9 de Rongo, au Kenya, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 horrifi\u00e9s apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 forc\u00e9s \u00e0 dormir pr\u00e8s d’un cadavre pendant huit heures.<\/h4>\n

Apr\u00e8s que le patient qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 amen\u00e9 \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital dans un \u00e9tat critique soit mort vers minuit, jeudi dernier, son cadavre n’a \u00e9t\u00e9 enlev\u00e9 que le lendemain. Ses proches ne pouvaient pas \u00eatre identifi\u00e9s, ce qui compliquait la situation.<\/p>\n

S’adressant \u00e0 Standard News, les patients et les familles racontent leurs craintes tout au long de la nuit:
\n\u00abNous n’\u00e9tions pas \u00e0 l’aise dans cette pi\u00e8ce avec une personne morte. Mon cousin a \u00e9t\u00e9 visiblement secou\u00e9 et traumatis\u00e9 parce que le corps \u00e9tait dans le lit imm\u00e9diatement \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 du sien\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Peter Owino, un parent de l’un des patients.<\/p>\n

L’administration de l’h\u00f4pital a bl\u00e2m\u00e9 le manque de morgues nationales dans la r\u00e9gion pour ce genre de circonstance. Selon l’officier m\u00e9dical de l’h\u00f4pital, Mwatelah, il n’y avait qu’une seule morgue dans tout le comt\u00e9 et seulement deux ambulances en \u00e9tat de fonctionnement.<\/p>\n

\u00abNous lib\u00e9rons toujours des corps dans n’importe quelle morgue quand il y a des membres de la famille. Le minist\u00e8re doit encore cr\u00e9er une salle dans l’h\u00f4pital o\u00f9 nous pouvons stocker les morts afin de pr\u00e9venir la peur et le traumatisme pour ceux qui sont encore trait\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Mwatelah.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
