Cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs reprises \u00e0 travers des programmes de l&rsquo;Organisation Mondial de la Sant\u00e9 (OMS).<\/p>\n<p class=\"rarticle-summry\">Une jeune \u00e9tudiante du nom de Ify Aniebo, inscrite \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole d\u2019hygi\u00e8ne et de m\u00e9decine tropicale de Londres, vient de faire une importante d\u00e9couverte. Cette jeune africaine consciente du danger que repr\u00e9sente ce fl\u00e9au sur le continent, a cr\u00e9\u00e9 une application mobile permettant de d\u00e9celer le paludisme.<\/p>\n<div class=\"rarticle-body\">\n<p>Cette une application, lorsqu\u2019elle est install\u00e9e sur un smartphone, transforme la cam\u00e9ra de ce t\u00e9l\u00e9phone en un v\u00e9ritable microscope qui permet d\u2019analyser le sang d\u2019un patient et d\u2019identifier la pr\u00e9sence du parasite responsable de la maladie. En outre, l\u2019application permet de diagnostiquer le type de paludisme dont souffre le patient et peut ainsi recommander un traitement adapt\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La jeune \u00e9tudiante nig\u00e9riane a, elle-m\u00eame, souffert de multiples infections durant son enfance et son adolescence. Elle esp\u00e8re que ses recherches dans le domaine des maladies tropicales, aideront \u00e0 sauver \u00ab\u00a0<em>plusieurs millions de vies dans son pays le Nigeria et dans de nombreux pays africains\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019invention de cette application lui a valu d\u2019\u00eatre nomin\u00e9e parmi les finalistes du London\u2019s International Student Innovation Awards 2016.<br \/>\nPour rappel une autre application mobile permettant de lutter contre le paludisme avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu le jour en 2013 par le biais de jeunes \u00e9tudiants ougandais. Cette application du nom de \u00ab\u00a0Matibabu\u00a0\u00bb, qui signifie centre m\u00e9dical en swahili, permet d\u2019effectuer l\u2019examen en 15 mn sans obligation de consulter un m\u00e9decin gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un matiscope, un syst\u00e8me de lumi\u00e8re infrarouge p\u00e9n\u00e9trant la peau du doigt et d\u00e9tectant les cellules rouges en faisant le tri entre les globules infect\u00e9s et les globules sains, sans pr\u00e9lever une goutte de sang.<\/p>\n<p>Ces applications innovantes con\u00e7ues par de jeunes talents africains m\u00e9riteraient d&rsquo;\u00eatre mieux valoris\u00e9es et d&rsquo;\u00eatre connus aupr\u00e8s de populations africaines.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La lutte contre le paludisme reste un d\u00e9fi majeur \u00e0 relever en Afrique.
