\u00c0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de neuf ans, St\u00e9phanie Mbida\u00a0d\u00e9couvre, dans le sourire de son p\u00e8re, l\u2019impact que l’entrepreneuriat peut avoir sur une existence. Pour St\u00e9phanie Mbida, entreprendre, c\u2019est changer le monde… Quand bien m\u00eame seulement celui de quelques-uns.<\/h3>\n

St\u00e9phanie Mbida fait sa premi\u00e8re exp\u00e9rience de femme d\u2019affaire ind\u00e9pendante,\u00e0 l’\u00e2ge de neuf ans. Elle est inspir\u00e9e par sa tante, une villageoise pleine de ressources, venue passer l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 chez elle, \u00e0 Douala. Hors du contexte familier, l\u2019\u0153il distingue des d\u00e9tails que la routine estompe. Ayant ainsi remarqu\u00e9 ce que les citadins, eux, ne remarquaient plus : des bouts de bois qui tra\u00eenaient sur les trottoirs de la ville. Cette femme de la campagne s\u2019\u00e9tait lanc\u00e9e dans leur collecte. \u00c0 la maison, elle les triait et liait en fagots. St\u00e9phanie, intrigu\u00e9e, se mit \u00e0 la suivre partout. Un jour, sa tante, illettr\u00e9e, lui demanda d\u2019\u00e9crire sur une pancarte : \u00ab on vend du bois \u00bb, pour la placer en \u00e9vidence sur le pas de la porte.<\/p>\n

\"St\u00e9phanie<\/p>\n

\u00ab Du bois ?! Personne n\u2019a besoin de bois, s\u2019\u00e9tonna St\u00e9phanie, sceptique. On a des cuisini\u00e8res, ici ! \u00bb<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Pourtant, les clients afflu\u00e8rent et, quand sa tante repartit \u00e0 la fin de l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9, St\u00e9phanie prit sa succession \u00e0 la t\u00eate de l\u2019\u00ab affaire \u00bb. \u00ab C\u2019est \u00e7a l’entrepreneuriat, explique-t-elle passionn\u00e9e, saisir les opportunit\u00e9s. Ces bouts de bois dans la rue, tout le monde passait \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 et personne ne les voyait. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Il fallut un autre \u00e9v\u00e9nement pour qu\u2019elle contracte tout \u00e0 fait le virus de l\u2019entreprise. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce business \u00ab h\u00e9rit\u00e9 \u00bb de sa tante, St\u00e9phanie avait r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 \u00e9conomiser une petite somme d\u2019argent. Elle en investit une bonne part dans une chemise pour son p\u00e8re dont l\u2019anniversaire approchait. Et, en la lui offrant, elle lut l’\u00e9motion sur son visage. C\u2019\u00e9tait le premier cadeau qu\u2019il recevait depuis longtemps. Elle eut cette r\u00e9v\u00e9lation qu\u2019elle peut mettre en mots aujourd\u2019hui. \u00ab L\u2019entrepreneuriat, ce n\u2019est pas seulement g\u00e9n\u00e9rer du profit, mais surtout impacter la vie des gens autour de soi. \u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n

C\u2019est donc \u00e0 la joie de son p\u00e8re que prend sa source la passion de St\u00e9phanie Mbida pour l\u2019entrepreneuriat.<\/h3>\n

Elle enregistra sa premi\u00e8re entreprise officielle \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de dix-huit ans, minimum requis au Cameroun. Puis, \u00e0 dix-neuf, elle partit \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, au Canada, \u00e9tudier la finance avant de s\u2019engager sans vraiment y penser dans la ligne droite toute trac\u00e9e : argent, travail, s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Dans les lignes droites, on s\u2019endort. Un accident de la route la r\u00e9veilla brusquement : si sa vie avait d\u00fb s\u2019arr\u00eater \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0, elle n\u2019aurait eu \u00ab aucun sens \u00bb. Il \u00e9tait temps de mettre du propos dans son existence. De r\u00e9aliser enfin ses ambitions philanthropiques en s\u2019appuyant sur ses talents et savoir-faire d\u2019entrepreneuse. Elle quitta son emploi et pr\u00e9para le coup d\u2019envoi de son projet KickLoans, sur lequel elle misa toutes ses \u00e9conomies.<\/p>\n

Avec KickLoans, entreprise de microcr\u00e9dit inspir\u00e9e de l\u2019id\u00e9e de Muhammad Yunus, prix Nobel de la paix, elle investit aujourd\u2019hui dans de mini-entreprises, en Tanzanie pour l\u2019instant, avec l\u2019espoir de bient\u00f4t pouvoir \u00e9tendre son action \u00e0 d\u2019autres pays d\u2019Afrique.<\/p>\n

Elle vit d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 New York, o\u00f9 elle a emm\u00e9nag\u00e9 pour soutenir la cause de l\u2019entrepreneuriat aupr\u00e8s des Nations unies. Son engagement a pay\u00e9. L\u2019organisation a enfin reconnu, au mois de f\u00e9vrier, l\u2019entrepreneuriat comme vecteur de d\u00e9veloppement durable et de lutte contre la pauvret\u00e9. \u00ab C\u2019est une grande victoire ! \u00bb<\/p>\n
