Une salle d’op\u00e9ration snafu au Japon fait les manchettes des m\u00e9dias. Il semble que les flatulences d’une patiente avaient\u00a0mis le feu \u00e0 une partie de son corps pendant une op\u00e9ration en avril dernier, selon un rapport publi\u00e9 par la Tokyo Medical University.<\/p>\n

L’incident a eu lieu au Centre m\u00e9dical de Tokyo, rapporte Asahi Shimbun. Les chirurgiens \u00e9taient en train de diriger\u00a0un laser pr\u00e8s du\u00a0col de l’ut\u00e9rus de la patiente, qui avait une trentaine d’ann\u00e9es, et le contact entre le\u00a0pet et le laser a d\u00e9clench\u00e9 un feu.<\/p>\n

Tous les \u00e9quipements fonctionnaient normalement, conduisant un panel \u00e0 conclure que le gaz l\u00e2ch\u00e9 par la femme allumait le laser. \u00abLorsque les gaz intestinaux de la patiente se sont introduits dans la chambre d’op\u00e9ration, le contact avec l’irradiation du laser a mis le feu, m\u00eame les draps chirurgicaux ont pris feu\u00bb, a expliqu\u00e9 le rapport.<\/p>\n

Le Washington Post explique que c’est le m\u00e9thane et l’hydrog\u00e8ne dans le gaz d’une personne qui le rend potentiellement inflammable, m\u00eame si \u00abil est difficile vraiment d’exag\u00e9rer la minuscule chance que cette fonction corporelle normale cause un probl\u00e8me.
