Un homme d’\u00e2ge moyen, identifi\u00e9 comme Emmanuel Akposi, est recherch\u00e9 pour avoir pr\u00e9tendument asperg\u00e9 sa m\u00e8re \u00e2g\u00e9e d’essence et l’avoir immol\u00e9e par le feu dans l’\u00c9tat de Cross River au Nigeria.<\/span><\/p>\n

La victime, identifi\u00e9e par des sources familiales comme \u00e9tant Mme Atim Akposi, \u00e9galement connue sous le nom d’Atim Eyo, a subi de graves br\u00fblures lors de l’incident survenu le vendredi 14 ao\u00fbt. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 transport\u00e9e d’urgence dans un centre de sant\u00e9, o\u00f9 elle est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e aux premi\u00e8res heures du lundi.<\/span><\/p>\n

La d\u00e9funte, Mme Atim Etim, a \u00e9t\u00e9 accus\u00e9e de sorcellerie par son fils, Emmanuel Etim. Il la tenait responsable de la mort de sa fille.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Il semblerait qu’Etim se soit rendu au domicile de sa m\u00e8re avec environ quatre litres d’essence et un briquet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Etim arriva chez sa m\u00e8re suite au d\u00e9c\u00e8s de sa fille plus t\u00f4t dans la journ\u00e9e.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Il a confront\u00e9 sa m\u00e8re, l’accusant d’avoir caus\u00e9 la mort de l’enfant et exigeant de savoir ce qu’il lui avait fait pour m\u00e9riter un tel acte.<\/span><\/p>\n

La situation a d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 lorsqu’Etim s’est lev\u00e9 de sa chaise et a tent\u00e9 de l’\u00e9trangler.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alors que la victime appelait \u00e0 l’aide, une de ses filles est intervenue et s’est battue avec Etim, le for\u00e7ant \u00e0 rel\u00e2cher leur m\u00e8re.<\/span><\/p>\n

La victime, apr\u00e8s avoir r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 se lib\u00e9rer, tenta de s’enfuir. Cependant, Etim l’aspergea d’essence et y mit le feu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Des voisins t\u00e9moins de l’incident sont rapidement intervenus et ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 \u00e9teindre l’incendie avant de transporter la victime en urgence \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital pour qu’elle re\u00e7oive des soins m\u00e9dicaux.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cependant, alors qu’elle \u00e9tait transf\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital universitaire de Calabar (UCTH) pour recevoir les soins appropri\u00e9s, elle est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le porte-parole du commandement de la police de l’\u00c9tat de Cross River, l’inspecteur adjoint Sunday Eitokpah, qui a confirm\u00e9 l’incident, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que des efforts sont en cours pour retrouver et arr\u00eater le suspect qui est actuellement en fuite.<\/span><\/p>\n
