Le Cap-Vert a quitt\u00e9 la Coupe du monde, mais personne n\u2019a vraiment eu le c\u0153ur de parler d\u2019\u00e9chec. Au pays, les Blue Sharks ont \u00e9t\u00e9 accueillis comme des h\u00e9ros apr\u00e8s une aventure qui a transform\u00e9 cette premi\u00e8re participation en immense moment de fiert\u00e9 nationale.<\/p>\n

Dans les familles, les rues et les conversations, cette \u00e9quipe a offert une joie rare \u00e0 un archipel habitu\u00e9 \u00e0 devoir se battre pour \u00eatre vu.<\/p>\n

La s\u00e9lection cap-verdienne s\u2019est arr\u00eat\u00e9e face \u00e0 l\u2019Argentine, championne du monde, apr\u00e8s une d\u00e9faite 3-2 en prolongation. Mais le score ne raconte pas tout. Les Requins Bleus ont r\u00e9sist\u00e9, sont revenus deux fois au score et ont pouss\u00e9 Lionel Messi et ses co\u00e9quipiers dans un match que beaucoup imaginaient beaucoup plus simple pour l\u2019Albiceleste.<\/p>\n

Une \u00e9limination, mais pas une humiliation<\/h2>\n

Pour un pays qui d\u00e9couvrait la Coupe du monde, le Cap-Vert a donn\u00e9 bien plus qu\u2019une simple participation. Les joueurs de Bubista avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 marqu\u00e9 les esprits en tenant l\u2019Espagne en \u00e9chec lors de leur entr\u00e9e dans le tournoi. Ils avaient ensuite confirm\u00e9 qu\u2019ils ne venaient pas seulement faire de la figuration.<\/p>\n

Contre l\u2019Argentine, l\u2019histoire a pris une dimension encore plus forte. Men\u00e9s, les Cap-Verdiens ont trouv\u00e9 les ressources pour revenir. Puis, lorsque le sc\u00e9nario semblait leur \u00e9chapper, ils ont encore r\u00e9pondu. Cette capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 refuser de tomber sans lutter a touch\u00e9 les supporters au pays et dans la diaspora.<\/p>\n

Vozinha, symbole d\u2019un groupe qui a refus\u00e9 d\u2019avoir peur<\/h2>\n

Parmi les images fortes de ce Mondial, celle de Vozinha restera longtemps. Le gardien de 40 ans a incarn\u00e9 cette \u00e9quipe courageuse, disciplin\u00e9e et difficile \u00e0 briser. Face \u00e0 des adversaires prestigieux, il a multipli\u00e9 les arr\u00eats et donn\u00e9 au Cap-Vert une figure populaire, presque familiale, autour de laquelle le pays pouvait se rassembler.<\/p>\n

Son parcours a aussi donn\u00e9 une dimension humaine \u00e0 cette aventure. Le Mondial du Cap-Vert n\u2019a pas seulement \u00e9t\u00e9 une histoire de tactique ou de r\u00e9sultats. C\u2019\u00e9tait l\u2019histoire d\u2019un petit pays qui se d\u00e9couvre vu, respect\u00e9 et comment\u00e9 sur la plus grande sc\u00e8ne sportive du monde.<\/p>\n

Roberto \u201cPico\u201d Lopes a r\u00e9sum\u00e9 ce sentiment avec une phrase simple : d\u00e9sormais, personne ne demande plus o\u00f9 se trouve le Cap-Vert. C\u2019est peut-\u00eatre l\u2019une des plus grandes victoires symboliques de cette \u00e9quipe.<\/p>\n

Un message fort pour le football africain<\/h2>\n

Le parcours des Blue Sharks arrive dans un Mondial o\u00f9 l\u2019Afrique veut montrer qu\u2019elle peut exister autrement que par quelques exploits isol\u00e9s. Le Cap-Vert a apport\u00e9 une autre forme de r\u00e9cit : celui d\u2019une nation plus petite, moins attendue, mais capable de rivaliser par l\u2019organisation, la solidarit\u00e9 et la foi dans son plan de jeu.<\/p>\n

Cette aventure peut d\u00e9j\u00e0 peser sur l\u2019avenir du football cap-verdien. Elle donne de la visibilit\u00e9 aux joueurs, renforce l\u2019image de la s\u00e9lection et peut inspirer une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Pour beaucoup de jeunes, voir leur pays tenir t\u00eate \u00e0 l\u2019Argentine n\u2019est pas un simple souvenir de t\u00e9l\u00e9vision. C\u2019est une preuve que le r\u00eave peut devenir concret.<\/p>\n

Elle donne aussi une le\u00e7on aux s\u00e9lections moins m\u00e9diatis\u00e9es du continent. Le Cap-Vert n\u2019a pas b\u00e2ti son histoire sur des stars mondiales ni sur une grande tradition en Coupe du monde. Il l\u2019a construite avec un bloc soud\u00e9, une d\u00e9fense courageuse et une capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 rester fid\u00e8le \u00e0 son identit\u00e9 m\u00eame lorsque l\u2019adversaire semblait beaucoup plus fort.<\/p>\n

Le Cap-Vert avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 choqu\u00e9 l\u2019Espagne pour ses d\u00e9buts<\/a>, puis accroch\u00e9 l\u2019Uruguay dans un match fou<\/a>. La sortie contre l\u2019Argentine referme donc une s\u00e9quence courte, mais d\u00e9j\u00e0 historique.<\/p>\n

Au fond, c\u2019est peut-\u00eatre pour cela que l\u2019accueil est si fort. Les supporters ne c\u00e9l\u00e8brent pas seulement des r\u00e9sultats. Ils c\u00e9l\u00e8brent une \u00e9quipe qui leur a donn\u00e9 une fiert\u00e9 rare, une visibilit\u00e9 mondiale et la sensation que le Cap-Vert n\u2019\u00e9tait plus un invit\u00e9 discret, mais un vrai personnage de cette Coupe du monde.<\/p>\n

Les Blue Sharks rentrent \u00e0 la maison sans troph\u00e9e. Mais ils reviennent avec quelque chose qui compte presque autant pour un pays de football : le respect.<\/p>\n
