Le jury n\u2019a eu aucun doute : Nancy Pexton a violemment \u00f4t\u00e9 la vie \u00e0 celle qui partageait son sang, pouss\u00e9e par une jalousie d\u00e9vorante et une envie insatiable pour le luxe de sa s\u0153ur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Dans cette affaire, le mobile est aussi vieux que le monde : la r\u00e9ussite de l\u2019une face \u00e0 la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9 de l\u2019autre. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Jennifer, 69 ans, \u00e9tait une femme de succ\u00e8s, r\u00e9alisatrice de documentaires respect\u00e9e, vivant dans le quartier hupp\u00e9 de Camden. Nancy, sa cadette de seulement neuf mois, vivait dans la rue, d\u00e9pendante des aides sociales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Avant de mourir, Jennifer avait confi\u00e9 ses craintes \u00e0 son neveu dans des messages proph\u00e9tiques :<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00ab Elle a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 jalouse de moi. Toute sa vie, elle a voulu ce que j&rsquo;avais : mes maisons, mes voitures, mes v\u00eatements de marque. Elle a \u00e9crit qu\u2019elle allait me tuer&#8230; \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Le 10 juin de l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re , Nancy s&rsquo;est rendue chez sa s\u0153ur avec un repas KFC, comme pour masquer ses intentions. Une heure plus tard, le crime \u00e9tait commis. Jennifer a \u00e9t\u00e9 poignard\u00e9e \u00e0 mort, sa gorge tranch\u00e9e, puis son corps a \u00e9t\u00e9 ligot\u00e9 avec du ruban adh\u00e9sif et abandonn\u00e9 sous un drap.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Le plus choquant pour l&rsquo;opinion publique ? Apr\u00e8s avoir tu\u00e9 sa s\u0153ur, Nancy ne s&rsquo;est pas content\u00e9e de fuir. Elle a d\u00e9rob\u00e9 la montre Rolex en or et diamants que Jennifer portait en permanence. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Lorsque la police a retrouv\u00e9 l&rsquo;objet dans les affaires de l&rsquo;accus\u00e9e, celle-ci a os\u00e9 pr\u00e9tendre que sa s\u0153ur lui avait demand\u00e9 de \u00ab la garder \u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Pour tenter d&rsquo;\u00e9chapper \u00e0 la justice, Nancy Pexton a multipli\u00e9 les versions . Elle a d&rsquo;abord accus\u00e9 un pr\u00e9tendu trafiquant de drogue du quartier. Elle a ensuite affirm\u00e9 que le sang sur ses v\u00eatements provenait d&rsquo;un simple \u00ab\u00a0c\u00e2lin\u00a0\u00bb alors que sa s\u0153ur saignait du nez. Elle a enfin plaid\u00e9 le \u00ab\u00a0black-out\u00a0\u00bb total.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Mais les preuves scientifiques et les t\u00e9moignages ont balay\u00e9 ces mensonges. La \u00ab\u00a0s\u0153ur de l&rsquo;ombre\u00a0\u00bb a finalement \u00e9t\u00e9 rattrap\u00e9e par la v\u00e9rit\u00e9. Elle attend d\u00e9sormais de conna\u00eetre sa peine, qui s&rsquo;annonce lourde.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ce drame montre cruellement que la r\u00e9ussite peut susciter des haines irr\u00e9parables, m\u00eame au sein d&rsquo;une m\u00eame famille.
