L’ambassadeur de Russie au Nigeria a rejet\u00e9 les all\u00e9gations selon lesquelles des Nig\u00e9rians seraient recrut\u00e9s pour combattre en Ukraine, insistant sur le fait qu’il n’existe aucun programme soutenu par l’\u00c9tat ciblant les citoyens nig\u00e9rians pour ce conflit.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lors d’une conf\u00e9rence de presse \u00e0 Abuja le mardi 10 f\u00e9vrier 2026, l’ambassadeur de Russie, Andrey Podyelyshev, a qualifi\u00e9 ces informations d’infond\u00e9es et sans lien avec le gouvernement russe, alors m\u00eame que\u00a0<\/span>Moscou renforce son engagement diplomatique, militaire et \u00e9conomique avec le pays le plus peupl\u00e9 d’Afrique.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

R\u00e9pondant aux questions des journalistes, Podyelyshev a reconnu la possibilit\u00e9 que des acteurs ill\u00e9gaux op\u00e8rent de mani\u00e8re ind\u00e9pendante, mais a soulign\u00e9 qu’ils ne b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaient d’aucun soutien officiel.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00ab Si des individus ill\u00e9gaux tentent de recruter des Nig\u00e9rians pour combattre en Ukraine, cela n’a aucun lien avec l’\u00c9tat russe \u00bb, a-t-<\/span><\/em>\u00a0il d\u00e9clar\u00e9, ajoutant que toute information cr\u00e9dible serait transmise aux autorit\u00e9s russes charg\u00e9es de l’application de la loi pour enqu\u00eate.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Le compte rendu a \u00e9galement mis en lumi\u00e8re la coop\u00e9ration technique militaire en cours entre le Nig\u00e9ria et la Russie, notamment les discussions concernant la formation du personnel militaire nig\u00e9rian et la fourniture potentielle d’\u00e9quipements russes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Selon l’ambassadeur, certaines initiatives sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 en cours, tandis que d’autres restent \u00e0 l’\u00e9tude, en fonction des int\u00e9r\u00eats et des priorit\u00e9s du Nig\u00e9ria.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Podyelyshev a soulign\u00e9 l’importance strat\u00e9gique du Nigeria pour l’engagement plus large de Moscou en Afrique, d\u00e9crivant le pays comme central dans la vision ouest-africaine de la Russie.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Au-del\u00e0 des relations bilat\u00e9rales, l’ambassadeur a r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 la position plus g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la Russie en mati\u00e8re de politique \u00e9trang\u00e8re, soulignant son soutien \u00e0 un ordre mondial multipolaire, le respect de la souverainet\u00e9 nationale et son opposition \u00e0 toute domination unilat\u00e9rale dans les affaires mondiales.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Il a \u00e9galement r\u00e9affirm\u00e9\u00a0<\/span>la position de Moscou en faveur de solutions men\u00e9es par les Africains aux d\u00e9fis africains<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>et contre toute ing\u00e9rence ext\u00e9rieure dans les processus politiques nationaux.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Les discussions ont port\u00e9 sur la coop\u00e9ration \u00e9conomique, scientifique et \u00e9ducative, notamment sur les projets de cr\u00e9ation d’un Centre des sciences et technologies nucl\u00e9aires au Nig\u00e9ria et d’\u00e9largissement des possibilit\u00e9s de bourses d’\u00e9tudes pour les \u00e9tudiants nig\u00e9rians dans les universit\u00e9s russes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
