L’administration Trump va retirer les \u00c9tats-Unis de dizaines d’organisations internationales, dont l’agence onusienne pour la population et l’ONU, poursuivant ainsi son retrait de la coop\u00e9ration mondiale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le pr\u00e9sident Donald Trump a sign\u00e9 mercredi un d\u00e9cret suspendant le soutien am\u00e9ricain \u00e0 66 organisations, agences et commissions, suite \u00e0 l’examen par son administration de la participation et du financement de toutes les organisations internationales, y compris celles affili\u00e9es aux Nations Unies, selon un communiqu\u00e9 de la Maison Blanche.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nombre de ces cibles sont des agences, commissions et groupes consultatifs li\u00e9s aux Nations Unies qui se concentrent sur le climat, le travail, les migrations et d’autres questions que l’administration Trump a qualifi\u00e9es de mesures au service de la diversit\u00e9 et des initiatives \u00ab\u00a0woke\u00a0\u00bb. Parmi les autres organisations non onusiennes figurant sur la liste, on trouve le Partenariat pour la coop\u00e9ration atlantique, l’Institut international pour la d\u00e9mocratie et l’assistance \u00e9lectorale et le Forum mondial de lutte contre le terrorisme.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab L\u2019administration Trump a constat\u00e9 que ces institutions \u00e9taient redondantes, mal g\u00e9r\u00e9es, inutiles, sources de gaspillage, mal administr\u00e9es, soumises aux int\u00e9r\u00eats d\u2019acteurs poursuivant leurs propres objectifs contraires aux n\u00f4tres, ou qu\u2019elles constituaient une menace pour la souverainet\u00e9, les libert\u00e9s et la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de notre nation \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le secr\u00e9taire d\u2019\u00c9tat Marco Rubio dans un communiqu\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

La d\u00e9cision de Trump de retirer les \u00c9tats-Unis des organisations internationales qui promeuvent la coop\u00e9ration sur les questions mondiales intervient alors que son administration a pris des mesures de politique \u00e9trang\u00e8re \u00e9nergiques qui ont d\u00e9stabilis\u00e9 aussi bien ses alli\u00e9s que ses rivaux, notamment une op\u00e9ration controvers\u00e9e qui a destitu\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident v\u00e9n\u00e9zu\u00e9lien Nicol\u00e1s Maduro et raviv\u00e9 l’int\u00e9r\u00eat pour l’acquisition du Groenland.<\/span><\/p>\n

L’administration avait pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment suspendu son soutien \u00e0 des agences telles que l’Organisation mondiale de la sant\u00e9 (OMS), l’UNRWA (Agence des Nations Unies pour les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s de Palestine dans le Proche-Orient), le Conseil des droits de l’homme des Nations Unies et l’UNESCO. Elle a adopt\u00e9 une approche plus flexible, \u00e0 la carte, concernant le versement des cotisations \u00e0 l’OMS, en choisissant les op\u00e9rations et agences qui, selon elle, correspondent au programme de Trump et celles qui ne servent plus les int\u00e9r\u00eats am\u00e9ricains.<\/span><\/p>\n
