{"id":376580,"date":"2025-12-16T21:15:47","date_gmt":"2025-12-16T21:15:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/var\/www\/vhosts\/afrikmag.compublic_html\/?p=376580"},"modified":"2025-12-16T21:15:47","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T21:15:47","slug":"ghana-un-influenceur-arrete-par-le-fbi-pour-une-fraude-de-8-millions-de-dollars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/var\/www\/vhosts\/afrikmag.compublic_html\/ghana-un-influenceur-arrete-par-le-fbi-pour-une-fraude-de-8-millions-de-dollars\/","title":{"rendered":"Ghana : un influenceur arr\u00eat\u00e9 par le FBI pour une fraude de 8 millions de dollars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">De la gloire num\u00e9rique aux menottes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">L&rsquo;influenceur ghan\u00e9en Frederick Kumi, connu sous le pseudonyme Abu Trica, a \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9 le 11 d\u00e9cembre 2025 \u00e0 Accra, au Ghana, dans le cadre d&rsquo;une op\u00e9ration conjointe men\u00e9e par les autorit\u00e9s ghan\u00e9ennes, Interpol et le <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> am\u00e9ricain. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Il est accus\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00eatre impliqu\u00e9 dans un r\u00e9seau d&rsquo;escroquerie sentimentale en ligne ciblant principalement des personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es aux \u00c9tats-Unis, qui aurait g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 plus de 8 millions de dollars depuis 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">L\u2019homme est soup\u00e7onn\u00e9 d\u2019avoir particip\u00e9 \u00e0 un vaste r\u00e9seau d\u2019arnaques sentimentales ayant fait des milliers de victimes, principalement aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Abu Trica utilisait des faux profils sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux, cr\u00e9\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;outils d&rsquo;intelligence artificielle, pour s\u00e9duire ses victimes et obtenir de l&rsquo;argent ou des biens de valeur. Il est actuellement d\u00e9tenu au Ghana et risque jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 20 ans de prison s&rsquo;il est reconnu coupable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sur Instagram et TikTok, Abu Trica incarnait la r\u00e9ussite fulgurante : voitures de luxe, villas somptueuses, liasses de billets et voyages fastueux. Une image soigneusement entretenue qui lui a permis de b\u00e2tir une communaut\u00e9 fid\u00e8le, fascin\u00e9e par ce qu\u2019elle croyait \u00eatre l\u2019ascension d\u2019un jeune entrepreneur \u00e0 succ\u00e8s.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Mais derri\u00e8re les projecteurs, les autorit\u00e9s am\u00e9ricaines d\u00e9crivent une toute autre r\u00e9alit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Selon l\u2019acte d\u2019accusation d\u00e9voil\u00e9 par la justice am\u00e9ricaine, Abu Trica serait un \u00e9l\u00e9ment central d\u2019un r\u00e9seau de <\/span><span class=\"s2\">romance scam<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> ayant soutir\u00e9 plus de <\/span><span class=\"s2\">8 millions de dollars<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> \u00e0 des victimes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Une fois l\u2019argent envoy\u00e9, les fonds auraient \u00e9t\u00e9 blanchis et redistribu\u00e9s via des circuits financiers internationaux, avec le Ghana comme point strat\u00e9gique. L\u2019influenceur est accus\u00e9 d\u2019avoir facilit\u00e9 ces transferts et d\u2019en avoir tir\u00e9 profit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Cette arrestation fait suite \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres extraditions de ressortissants ghan\u00e9ens pour des affaires similaires ayant caus\u00e9 des pr\u00e9judices d\u00e9passant 100 millions de dollars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Alors que l\u2019enqu\u00eate se poursuit, une question demeure : cette arrestation marquera-t-elle un tournant dans la lutte contre les r\u00e9seaux d\u2019escroquerie en ligne en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest ?<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>De la gloire num\u00e9rique aux menottes.
