Cependant, de nombreuses personnes ignorent encore que ce qu\u2019elles publient en ligne peut avoir un impact direct et parfois irr\u00e9versible sur leur avenir professionnel, acad\u00e9mique ou m\u00eame personnel. <\/span>En Afrique comme ailleurs, entreprises, recruteurs, \u00e9coles, institutions publiques et m\u00eame partenaires potentiels scrutent d\u00e9sormais les profils en ligne pour mieux conna\u00eetre ceux qui aspirent \u00e0 les rejoindre. Une simple publication peut donc ouvrir des portes\u2026 ou les refermer brutalement.<\/p>\n

Des traces num\u00e9riques qui ne disparaissent jamais vraiment
\n<\/span><\/strong>Contrairement \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9e r\u00e9pandue selon laquelle \u00ab effacer \u00bb un post suffit \u00e0 le faire dispara\u00eetre, les contenus publi\u00e9s sur Facebook, X, TikTok ou Instagram laissent souvent des traces. Captures d\u2019\u00e9cran, partages, archives : tout peut ressurgir, m\u00eame des ann\u00e9es plus tard.
\n<\/span>Des photos compromettantes, des insultes, des propos discriminatoires ou des vid\u00e9os inappropri\u00e9es publi\u00e9es dans un moment d\u2019humour ou de col\u00e8re peuvent se retourner contre un internaute lorsque celui-ci postule \u00e0 une bourse, un emploi ou un programme de formation. <\/span>Plusieurs entreprises africaines reconnaissent d\u2019ailleurs v\u00e9rifier les profils sociaux des candidats avant d\u2019embaucher.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les recruteurs prennent vos r\u00e9seaux sociaux tr\u00e8s au s\u00e9rieux <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Selon des cabinets de recrutement bas\u00e9s en C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, au Cameroun, au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal et au Maroc, plus de 70 % des employeurs consultent les profils en ligne des candidats. Ils recherchent notamment :<\/p>\n

\u2022 la coh\u00e9rence entre l\u2019image professionnelle et le comportement en ligne ; <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 la maturit\u00e9 et la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 communiquer avec respect ;<\/p>\n

\u2022 d\u2019\u00e9ventuelles pol\u00e9miques ou comportements dangereux ;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 des signes de radicalisation, de harc\u00e8lement ou de haine.
\n<\/span>Dans certains cas, un candidat peut \u00eatre \u00e9cart\u00e9 \u00e0 cause d\u2019un simple commentaire jug\u00e9 agressif, d\u2019un d\u00e9fi TikTok risqu\u00e9 ou d\u2019une photo publi\u00e9e lors d\u2019une f\u00eate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les opportunit\u00e9s acad\u00e9miques ne sont pas en reste
\n<\/span><\/strong>Les universit\u00e9s et programmes internationaux, notamment ceux proposant des bourses, examinent de plus en plus la pr\u00e9sence num\u00e9rique des candidats africains. Ils cherchent \u00e0 s\u2019assurer que les b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires repr\u00e9sentent dignement leur institution.
\n<\/span>Un post moqueur, une fake news partag\u00e9e sans v\u00e9rification ou des propos discriminatoires peuvent suffire \u00e0 faire perdre une opportunit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n
