Son r\u00e9cit, aussi rare qu\u2019\u00e9mouvant, d\u00e9montre les sacrifices extraordinaires de son mari et les d\u00e9fis m\u00e9connus de certaines grossesses \u00e0 haut risque.<br \/>\n<\/span>L\u2019histoire commence lorsque Barbara, ignorant encore sa grossesse, perd progressivement l\u2019usage de ses jambes.<br \/>\n<span class=\"s1\">\u00ab Je ne pouvais plus marcher, ni travailler. Je ne savais m\u00eame pas que j\u2019attendais un enfant \u00bb, confie-t-elle.<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Les m\u00e9decins d\u00e9couvrent plus tard que sa paralysie est li\u00e9e \u00e0 une compression nerveuse s\u00e9v\u00e8re , une complication rare mais d\u00e9vastatrice. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Pendant cette \u00e9preuve, son mari devient son unique pilier :<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u00ab Il me lavait avant d&rsquo;aller travailler, faisait le m\u00e9nage, la cuisine, la vaisselle, tout. \u00c0 un moment donn\u00e9, il a m\u00eame quitt\u00e9 son emploi pour s&rsquo;occuper de moi. \u00bb <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Un soir, alors qu\u2019elle tente de s\u2019asseoir sur le canap\u00e9, Barbara sent \u00ab quelque chose \u00bb se d\u00e9bloquer dans son corps. En quelques instants, elle retrouve l\u2019usage de ses jambes, un moment qu\u2019elle d\u00e9crit comme \u00ab surnaturel \u00bb.
