Un an plus tard, il devenait p\u00e8re pour la premi\u00e8re fois. Cependant, son propre p\u00e8re estimait qu\u2019une seule \u00e9pouse n\u2019\u00e9tait pas suffisante et lui a propos\u00e9 de payer la dot de plusieurs autres \u00e9pouses s\u2019il acceptait d\u2019agrandir la famille. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00ab Notre clan est petit, je veux que tu l\u2019agrandisses \u00bb, lui aurait dit son p\u00e8re. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Kapinga a accept\u00e9 cette mission et, au sommet de sa vie polygame , il comptait 20 \u00e9pouses. L\u2019une d\u2019elles en a parl\u00e9 \u00e0 sa s\u0153ur, qui a voulu rejoindre cette famille. Finalement, sept s\u0153urs ont fini par devenir les \u00e9pouses de Kapinga.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Le patriarche assure que tout fonctionne gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une organisation bien structur\u00e9e:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u00ab Ici, chacun a son r\u00f4le. Chaque femme a sa propre maison, sa propre cuisine, il n\u2019y a pas de concurrence. Nous cultivons ensemble, nous mangeons ensemble, nous travaillons ensemble. Elle cultive ses propres champs de ma\u00efs, haricots, manioc et bananes et ce qui n\u2019est pas consomm\u00e9 est \u00e9chang\u00e9 ou vendu. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00ab Les gens pensent que je contr\u00f4le tout \u00bb, dit Kapinga. \u00abMais en r\u00e9alit\u00e9, ce sont mes femmes qui maintiennent cette famille unie. Moi, je ne fais que les guider. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Les \u00e9pouses de Kapinga insistent sur le fait qu\u2019elles ne laissent jamais la jalousie s\u2019installer. En cas de d\u00e9saccord, elles en parlent entre elles ou font appel \u00e0 leur mari, qui \u00e9coute sans prendre parti et leur donne des conseils. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Avec une descendance aussi nombreuse, Kapinga admet qu\u2019il ne peut pas retenir tous les noms de ses enfants et petits-enfants. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00ab Je me souviens d\u2019environ 50 noms par c\u0153ur, et pour les autres, leur visage me rafra\u00eechit la m\u00e9moire. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Malgr\u00e9 tout, sa famille aurait pu \u00eatre encore plus grande. Kapinga a perdu 40 enfants en raison de maladies et d\u2019accidents.
