Le minist\u00e8re a attribu\u00e9 cette hausse \u00e0 \u00ab une pression migratoire croissante dans un environnement r\u00e9gional instable \u00bb. Parmi les personnes intercept\u00e9es, 58 % venaient d’Afrique de l’Ouest, 12 % d’Afrique du Nord \u2013 y compris le Maroc lui-m\u00eame \u2013 et 9 % d’Afrique de l’Est et d’Afrique centrale,\u00a0a rapport\u00e9\u00a0Reuters.<\/p>\n

\n

Des ann\u00e9es de conflit arm\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9gion du Sahel en Afrique, un ch\u00f4mage \u00e9lev\u00e9 et l\u2019impact d\u00e9vastateur du changement climatique sur les communaut\u00e9s agricoles continuent de pousser les migrants vers l\u2019Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Depuis la r\u00e9solution d\u2019un diff\u00e9rend diplomatique en 2022, le Maroc et l\u2019Espagne, membre de l\u2019UE, ont renforc\u00e9 leur coop\u00e9ration pour lutter contre la migration irr\u00e9guli\u00e8re.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Depuis des ann\u00e9es, le Maroc est un point de d\u00e9part essentiel pour les migrants africains qui tentent d’atteindre l’Europe, que ce soit en traversant la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, en naviguant dans l’Atlantique ou en escaladant les cl\u00f4tures entourant les enclaves nord-africaines espagnoles de Ceuta et Melilla.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Selon le minist\u00e8re de l’Int\u00e9rieur, en 2024, le Maroc a enregistr\u00e9 14 tentatives collectives de travers\u00e9e vers les enclaves espagnoles de Ceuta et Melilla, soit plus du double des six tentatives de 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Selon le\u00a0<\/span>Rapport sur les migrations en Afrique<\/span><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(AMRII), le Maroc et la France maintiennent l\u2019un des plus grands couloirs migratoires de l\u2019Afrique vers d\u2019autres continents, avec 1 059 918 mouvements.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Les autorit\u00e9s ont \u00e9galement secouru 18 645 migrants se trouvant dans des bateaux peu s\u00fbrs qui tentaient d\u2019atteindre l\u2019Europe, soit une augmentation de 10,8 % par rapport \u00e0 l\u2019ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Malgr\u00e9 les efforts accrus pour endiguer l’immigration clandestine, des trag\u00e9dies persistent.
