Pourtant, c\u2019est avec le Togo qu\u2019il a \u00e9crit l\u2019histoire du football africain. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Dans une r\u00e9cente interview, Adebayor est revenu sur cette p\u00e9riode d\u00e9cisive de sa jeunesse. Brillant d\u00e8s ses d\u00e9buts, il s\u2019imposait naturellement comme capitaine dans ses \u00e9quipes scolaires, de district et r\u00e9gionales. Son talent lui a ouvert les portes de l\u2019\u00e9quipe nationale junior du Ghana, mais son exp\u00e9rience dans le camp d\u2019entra\u00eenement a \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9e par un sentiment d\u2019isolement. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Lorsqu\u2019il rejoint le camp d\u2019entra\u00eenement \u00e0 Accra, Adebayor se heurte \u00e0 une difficult\u00e9 inattendue : la langue. Ses co\u00e9quipiers et entra\u00eeneurs communiquaient principalement en twi et en ga, des langues qu\u2019il ne comprenait pas. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cQuand je suis all\u00e9 au camp, ils parlaient twi et ga. Je ne comprenais pas.\u201d, a expliqu\u00e9 Adebayor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ce foss\u00e9 linguistique l\u2019a emp\u00each\u00e9 de s\u2019int\u00e9grer pleinement et a renforc\u00e9 son sentiment de solitude. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Face \u00e0 cette situation, il prend une d\u00e9cision radicale. \u00ab Vers 4 heures du matin, j\u2019ai pris mon sac et mon carton, et le premier trotro (bus) en direction de Lom\u00e9, retour \u00e0 la maison \u00bb, raconte-t-il. Ce choix spontan\u00e9 allait changer le cours de sa carri\u00e8re. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">De retour au pays, Adebayor ne tarde pas \u00e0 se faire remarquer. En 2000, il honore sa premi\u00e8re s\u00e9lection avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe nationale togolaise. Son talent et son leadership deviennent vite des atouts majeurs pour les \u00c9perviers.
