Avoir deux pr\u00e9sidents dans un pays \u00e0 la fois est extraordinaire, mais la m\u00e8re patrie a \u00e9galement eu la seule femme \u00e0 \u00eatre devenue Premi\u00e8re Dame de deux pays diff\u00e9rents : le Mozambique et l\u2019Afrique du Sud.<\/p>\n

Rencontrez\u00a0Gra\u00e7a Simbine Machel<\/strong> , la seule femme dans l’histoire de l’univers \u00e0 avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re \u00e9pouse de deux dirigeants africains d\u00e9mocratiquement \u00e9lus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Gra\u00e7a Simbine Machel est n\u00e9e le 17 octobre 1945 \u00e0 Gaza, au Mozambique, et elle \u00e9tait la derni\u00e8re enfant d’une famille de six personnes. Son p\u00e8re est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 trois semaines avant sa naissance et a laiss\u00e9 une instruction selon laquelle elle devait poursuivre ses \u00e9tudes jusqu’au lyc\u00e9e \u2013 un testament qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 ex\u00e9cut\u00e9 par ses fr\u00e8res et s\u0153urs a\u00een\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir termin\u00e9 ses \u00e9tudes secondaires, l’\u00c9glise m\u00e9thodiste lui a accord\u00e9 une bourse pour \u00e9tudier \u00e0\u00a0l’Universit\u00e9 de Lisbonne<\/strong>\u00a0, au Portugal. Et elle a choisi de se sp\u00e9cialiser en langues.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

En raison de la surveillance de la police secr\u00e8te portugaise, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 contrainte d’abandonner ses \u00e9tudes et de s’enfuir en Suisse.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

En 1973, elle retourne en Tanzanie et rejoint le FRELIMO\u00a0o\u00f9 elle rencontre son premier mari,\u00a0Samora Machel<\/strong>\u00a0, premier pr\u00e9sident du Mozambique.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Le 25 juin 1975, le Mozambique acc\u00e8de \u00e0 l’ind\u00e9pendance et Samora Machel devient le premier pr\u00e9sident du nouveau pays.<\/p>\n

Lorsqu’il a pr\u00eat\u00e9 serment en tant que pr\u00e9sident du Mozambique, Samora Machel \u00e9tait veuf puisque sa femme,\u00a0Josina<\/strong>\u00a0, \u00e9tait d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e d’une leuc\u00e9mie en 1971. En septembre 1975, Gra\u00e7a \u00e9pousa Samora Machel et devint la premi\u00e8re dame du pays. Elle a combin\u00e9 ce poste avec son portefeuille de ministre de l’\u00c9ducation jusqu’en 1986.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Samora Machel est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e dans un accident d’avion le 19 octobre 1986, ce qui a pouss\u00e9 Graca \u00e0 d\u00e9missionner de son poste de ministre.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
