L’\u00e9glise financ\u00e9e par l’\u00c9tat, d’une valeur de 400 millions de dollars, est devenue extr\u00eamement controvers\u00e9e au Ghana alors m\u00eame que le pays demande un pr\u00eat du FMI en raison d’une dette \u00e9norme et de difficult\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00c0 environ 700 m\u00e8tres (765 yards) du Parlement ghan\u00e9en se trouve l’un des crat\u00e8res les plus controvers\u00e9s au monde, un trou entour\u00e9 de mauvaises herbes dans lequel 58 millions de dollars ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 engloutis pour la construction d’une cath\u00e9drale nationale interconfessionnelle.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0J’ai promis \u00e0 Dieu tout-puissant qu’il avait la bont\u00e9 d’accorder \u00e0 mon parti, le NPP, et \u00e0 moi la victoire aux \u00e9lections de 2016 apr\u00e8s deux tentatives infructueuses, alors j’aiderai \u00e0 construire une cath\u00e9drale \u00e0 sa gloire et \u00e0 son honneur\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident Nana Akufo. -Addo a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d’inauguration en 2020.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0La cath\u00e9drale nationale interconfessionnelle contribuera \u00e0 unifier la communaut\u00e9 chr\u00e9tienne et contribuera ainsi \u00e0 promouvoir l’unit\u00e9 nationale et la coh\u00e9sion sociale\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Mais la construction du projet favori du pr\u00e9sident, qui doit couvrir 3,5 hectares (9 acres) de biens immobiliers de premier ordre \u00e0 Accra, est au point mort depuis juin en raison d’un manque de fonds.\u00a0S’il n’y avait pas les grues et les impressions artistiques du projet entourant la zone de construction, cela pourrait passer pour un site minier ill\u00e9gal abandonn\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Comme Akufo-Addo, les deux tiers des quelque 30 millions d’habitants du Ghana sont chr\u00e9tiens, m\u00eame s’il s’agit d’une nation officiellement la\u00efque.<\/p>\n

Il y a environ 10 000 \u00e9glises dans tout le pays et la pr\u00e9dication en plein air est monnaie courante dans les transports publics, aux gares routi\u00e8res et aux intersections routi\u00e8res.\u00a0Selon l’\u00a0Africa Oxford Initiative, Accra compte \u00e0 elle seule approximativement 10 \u00e9glises au kilom\u00e8tre carr\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Le pr\u00e9sident consid\u00e9rait la cath\u00e9drale comme un moyen d’unir ces croyants, mais au lieu de cela, il les a divis\u00e9s en deux groupes principaux : ceux qui veulent voir l’\u00e9glise construite pour moderniser l’infrastructure de l’\u00c9tat du Ghana et ceux qui y voient un gaspillage des ressources de l’\u00c9tat, compte tenu de la situation \u00e9conomique du pays.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
