L\u2019OMS r\u00e9pond"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Selon l&rsquo;OMS, il est peu probable que l&rsquo;\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de variole du singe d\u00e9bouche sur une pand\u00e9mie<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;Organisation mondiale de la sant\u00e9 (OMS) ne pense pas que l&rsquo;\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de variole du singe qui s\u00e9vit en dehors de l&rsquo;Afrique conduira \u00e0 une pand\u00e9mie, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 lundi un responsable, ajoutant qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;est pas certain que les personnes infect\u00e9es qui ne pr\u00e9sentent pas de sympt\u00f4mes puissent transmettre la maladie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plus de 300 cas suspects et confirm\u00e9s de variole du singe &#8211; une maladie g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement b\u00e9nigne qui se propage par contact \u00e9troit et peut provoquer des sympt\u00f4mes de type grippal et des l\u00e9sions cutan\u00e9es remplies de pus &#8211; ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9s en mai, principalement en Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;OMS examine si cette \u00e9pid\u00e9mie doit \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme une \u00ab&nbsp;urgence potentielle de sant\u00e9 publique de port\u00e9e internationale&nbsp;\u00bb. Une telle d\u00e9claration, comme cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 fait pour la COVID-19 et Ebola, permettrait d&rsquo;acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la recherche et le financement pour contenir la maladie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 la question de savoir si cette \u00e9pid\u00e9mie de variole a le potentiel de se transformer en pand\u00e9mie, Rosamund Lewis, responsable technique pour la variole au sein du Programme d&rsquo;urgences sanitaires de l&rsquo;OMS, a r\u00e9pondu : \u00ab&nbsp;Nous ne savons pas, mais nous avons des doutes.
