Selon Maryam, les parents ont dit qu&rsquo;ils ne voudraient pas que leur fille aille souffrir dans un tel environnement. De plus, la famille de la mari\u00e9e a propos\u00e9 de leur donner une nouvelle maison; une offre que le mari\u00e9 a cat\u00e9goriquement refus\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab<em>Nous sommes vraiment confront\u00e9s \u00e0 une \u00e9pid\u00e9mie, en particulier dans le nord du Nigeria, souvent perp\u00e9tu\u00e9e par les parents\u00a0; le classisme. R\u00e9cemment, un mariage a \u00e9t\u00e9 annul\u00e9 en raison du fait que la famille de la mari\u00e9e a estim\u00e9 que la maison dans laquelle elle allait rester ne correspondait pas \u00e0 son statut et \u00e0 sa classe. C&rsquo;\u00e9tait une nouvelle maison mitoyenne d\u00e9cente. Ils ont dit qu&rsquo;ils ne voudraient pas que leur fille souffre alors qu&rsquo;elle a grandi dans la richesse !!! Le dit mari est une personne d\u00e9cente, bien \u00e9duqu\u00e9e avec un bon travail et \u00e9galement issue d&rsquo;une famille de classe sup\u00e9rieure; ses parents ont dit que c&rsquo;\u00e9tait tout ce qu&rsquo;ils pouvaient se permettre de la loger car la maison lui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 offerte par son p\u00e8re. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Les parents de la mari\u00e9e ont m\u00eame propos\u00e9 d&rsquo;avoir une meilleure maison qui corresponde \u00e0 son statut.\u00a0\u00a0Cependant, le mari et ses parents ont tenu bon. Par cons\u00e9quent, le mariage a \u00e9t\u00e9 annul\u00e9. Elle est all\u00e9e de l&rsquo;avant pour \u00e9pouser un mondain qui ne fait pratiquement rien. Elle a essentiellement rat\u00e9 une personne formidable. Malheureusement, il y a trop de telles histoires. Les mariages sont annul\u00e9s en raison de banalit\u00e9s et de priorit\u00e9s d\u00e9plac\u00e9es. Ironiquement, la plupart de ces parents ont eu des d\u00e9buts modestes sans le luxe auquel ils accordent tant d&rsquo;importance. Ils ne permettent jamais \u00e0 leurs enfants de naviguer seuls dans la vie. Les mariages et les unions sont devenus comme une comp\u00e9tition.
