Stephanie Curran, 28 ans, d’East Kilbride, s’est maintenant r\u00e9tablie et elle est maintenant capable de se rem\u00e9morer l’horreur d’avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 emmen\u00e9e \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital atteinte de Covid-19. Un situation la conduisant \u00e0 la naissance de Millie, extr\u00eamement t\u00f4t.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

St\u00e9phanie, 28 ans, pense avoir contract\u00e9 la Covid-19 avec son partenaire chauffeur de taxi car elle a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les passagers prenaient des taxis pour se rendre aux centres de test Covid.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle \u00e9tait enceinte de 26 semaines lorsqu’elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 transport\u00e9e d’urgence \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital, son \u00e9tat se d\u00e9t\u00e9riorant alors qu’elle avait du mal \u00e0 marcher et \u00e0 respirer apr\u00e8s avoir eu de la fi\u00e8vre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 l’h\u00f4pital Hairmyres, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 transf\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 l’unit\u00e9 de soins intensifs de l’h\u00f4pital Queen Elizabeth de Glasgow, o\u00f9 sa situation a encore empir\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On lui a dit que le b\u00e9b\u00e9 devrait \u00eatre accouch\u00e9 imm\u00e9diatement et elle a donc \u00e9t\u00e9 plong\u00e9e dans un coma artificiel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle se souvient :\u00a0\u00ab J’\u00e9tais terrifi\u00e9e. Je n’ai pas pu dormir le dernier jour de mon isolement et j’ai continu\u00e9 \u00e0 paniquer parce que je me sentais si mal. J’avais du mal \u00e0 respirer et je ne pouvais m\u00eame pas marcher jusqu’aux toilettes. Le NHS24 m’a dit que je devais simplement \u00eatre isol\u00e9e, mais le m\u00e9decin m’a examin\u00e9e et m’a envoy\u00e9e chercher une ambulance. J’avais besoin d’oxyg\u00e8ne sur-le-champ. J’ai attendu si longtemps l’arriv\u00e9e de l’ambulance que mon partenaire a fini par devoir m’emmener, ils ont dit que je pouvais attendre jusqu’\u00e0 une heure.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’\u00e9tais tellement na\u00efve pensant que j’allais aller mieux, je n’aurais jamais pens\u00e9 que cela se terminerait comme \u00e7a. Apr\u00e8s avoir fait des radios , les m\u00e9decins m’ont dit que Covid avait d\u00e9truit mes poumons et je suis all\u00e9e aux soins intensifs.<\/em> On m’a dit qu’ils devraient peut-\u00eatre me faire accoucher, mais je ne pensais pas qu’elle devrait vraiment sortir.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette nuit-l\u00e0, St\u00e9phanie a \u00e9t\u00e9 plong\u00e9e dans un coma artificiel et son b\u00e9b\u00e9 est venue au monde par c\u00e9sarienne. Millie est entr\u00e9e pr\u00e9matur\u00e9ment dans le monde \u00e0 13 h 44 le 15 octobre, pesant \u00e0 peine 1 kg et tenant dans la paume d’une main. Bien qu’elle soit sortie du coma le lendemain matin, les restrictions de Covid signifiaient que St\u00e9phanie ne pouvait pas voir son nouveau-n\u00e9 pendant quatre jours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heureusement, Millie a \u00e9t\u00e9 test\u00e9e n\u00e9gative au Covid \u00e0 la naissance.\u00a0Le b\u00e9b\u00e9 devrait pouvoir rentrer chez elle avec sa m\u00e8re en janvier 2022 apr\u00e8s une p\u00e9riode d’hospitalisation tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9occupante, rapporte le Daily Record.
