Une proph\u00e9tesse, nomm\u00e9 Utang Edet Effiong, a \u00e9t\u00e9 enterr\u00e9e vivante par des membres de sa famille en col\u00e8re. Sa famille l’accusait de sorcellerie.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utang Edet, poss\u00e9dait une \u00e9glise dans son village natal d’Ikot Edem Odo dans l’\u00c9tat de Cross River, au sud du Nigeria. Elle \u00e9tait accus\u00e9e d’avoir offert aux membres de sa famille un rituel pour gagner de l’argent et avant d’\u00eatre enterr\u00e9e vivante, elle aurait tu\u00e9 cinq membres de la famille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un membre de sa famille \u00e0 Ikot Edem Odo a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que des d\u00e9c\u00e8s myst\u00e9rieux se produisaient r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement dans la famille sans que personne ne connaisse la cause du d\u00e9c\u00e8s jusqu’\u00e0 la mort d’un certain Joseph Edet Offiong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ils ont conclu qu’ils devaient faire quelque chose avant que la mort pr\u00e9matur\u00e9e n’emm\u00e8ne tous les membres de la famille. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon un membre, la famille s’est r\u00e9unie et a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 qu’il devrait y avoir des conclusions pour savoir quelle \u00e9tait la cause des d\u00e9c\u00e8s et ils ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d’envoyer quelqu’un \u00e0 Anang dans l’\u00c9tat d’Akwa Ibom pour le d\u00e9couvrir. Et finalement ils ont d\u00e9couvert que la proph\u00e9tesse \u00e9tait responsable des meurtres <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les proches de la proph\u00e9tesse, ont affirm\u00e9: \u00ab\u00a0 lorsque la famille a d\u00e9couvert qu’elle \u00e9tait responsable des meurtres. Une r\u00e9union <\/em>\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 convoqu\u00e9e et elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9e \u00e0 se pr\u00e9senter devant la famille pour expliquer son r\u00f4le, mais elle a refus\u00e9 d’honorer les invitations de la famille et a donn\u00e9 des excuses qu’elle \u00e9tait trop occup\u00e9e par les activit\u00e9s de l’\u00e9glise<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0, ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9s les proches de la d\u00e9funte. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ses absences r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9s aux r\u00e9unions de la famille ont, convaincu la famille qu’elle \u00e9tait au courant de ce qui se passait ou qu’elle avait jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le dans les d\u00e9c\u00e8s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 La famille n’avait pas encore d\u00e9cid\u00e9 quoi faire de la proph\u00e9tesse lorsque Edet Edet Offiong. Un fr\u00e8re jumeau de Joseph Edet Offiong d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9, n’a pas pu supporter le chagrin et la douleur de la perte de son fr\u00e8re. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vers 2 heures du matin ce soir-l\u00e0, Edet Edet Offiong a conduit Nsikak Emmanuel Tom, Ekpo Archibong Ekpo et Edet Etim chez la proph\u00e9tesse. Arriv\u00e9s chez elle, son fr\u00e8re Edet Edet Offiong l’a appel\u00e9e pour qu’elle sorte. Mais, quand elle lui a demand\u00e9 ce qu’il faisait dans sa maison \u00e0 cette heure de la nuit, les gar\u00e7ons lui ont dit de se taire et de sortir. Quand elle est sortie, ils lui ont ass\u00e9n\u00e9 quelques coups et l’ont emmen\u00e9e dans la brousse o\u00f9 ils l’ont enterr\u00e9e vivante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0L’affaire a \u00e9t\u00e9 signal\u00e9e \u00e0 la police, ils ont arr\u00eat\u00e9 cinq suspects en rapport avec le meurtre. La police les a d\u00e9tenus \u00e0 leur si\u00e8ge \u00e0 Diamond Hill, Calabar.
