Cet ancien colonel \u00e0 la retraite est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 le 04 mai dernier des suites de courte maladie.<\/p>\n<p>Mort \u00e0 85 ans, ce qu\u2019on retient de ce vaillant militaire, c\u2019est la profonde d\u00e9termination qui l&rsquo;animait dans le combat contre les putschistes qui, malheureusement ont renvers\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident Kwame Nkrumah le 14 f\u00e9vrier 1966 alors que ce dernier \u00e9tait en route pour Hanoi \u00e0 l\u2019occasion d\u2019une visite officielle.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir eu l\u2019\u00e9cho du Coup d&rsquo;Etat qui \u00e9tait en cours contre le premier Pr\u00e9sident du Ghana, le Colonel Zanlerigu s\u2019est lev\u00e9 pour d\u00e9fendre la pr\u00e9sidence et faire \u00e9chec au putsch jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que ses munitions ne s\u2019\u00e9puisent. Devant ce fait et pour pr\u00e9server des vies, il a d\u00fb se rendre aux mutins.<\/p>\n<p>Par la suite il s\u2019effacera de l\u2019\u00e9chiquier national et ne refera surface qu\u2019en 1979 aux cot\u00e9s de l\u2019ex Pr\u00e9sident \u00e9lu Hilla Limann en tant que ministre de la D\u00e9fense.
