Il a marqu\u00e9 l\u2019histoire de la s\u00e9lection anglaise en inscrivant 44 buts en 57 s\u00e9lections, participant au sacre des Three Lions lors de la Coupe du Monde 1966 remport\u00e9e \u00e0 domicile.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>En plus d\u2019\u00eatre le plus grand buteur de l\u2019histoire des Spurs (266 buts), Jimmy Greaves restera dans les annales du championnat anglais avec 357 buts inscrits en treize saisons de Football League (anc\u00eatre de la PL). \u00c0 titre de comparaison, Alan Shearer (ex-Blackburn et Newcastle) domine le classement des buteurs de la PL avec \u00abseulement\u00bb 260 buts. En plus de son Mondial 1966, il avait \u00e9galement \u00e0 son palmar\u00e8s deux Coupes d\u2019Angleterre (1962, 1967) et une Coupe d\u2019Europe des vainqueurs de Coupe (1963).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u00ab\u00a0Il \u00e9tait un buteur naturel, toujours au bon endroit au bon moment (\u2026) mais il pouvait aussi cr\u00e9er ses propres buts, comme il l\u2019a souvent fait, en \u00e9liminant les d\u00e9fenseurs\u00a0\u00bb, <\/em>avec \u00ab<em>\u00a0son contr\u00f4le de balle impeccable, son grand \u00e9quilibre et sa lucidit\u00e9 devant le but qui lui faisait rarement rater une occasion\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, ont salu\u00e9 les Spurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr\u00e8s sa retraite sportive, Jimmy Greaves \u00e9tait devenu une figure populaire des \u00e9missions de football \u00e0 la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision, animant notamment entre&nbsp;1985 et&nbsp;1992&nbsp;<em>Saint and Greavesie,<\/em>&nbsp;avec l\u2019ancien Reds Ian Saint-John sur ITV.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>L\u2019artiste, le cr\u00e9ateur, le relayeur.. une floraison de surnoms que portait l&rsquo;anglais Jimmy Greaves.
