Le 22 ao\u00fbt dernier, la police du Kenya a confirm\u00e9e l’arrestation d’un jeune homme dont le nom n’a pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 divulgu\u00e9 pour avoir pr\u00e9tendument poignard\u00e9 une \u00e9tudiante de 20 ans, Faith Makau, avec un couteau apr\u00e8s avoir rejet\u00e9 sa proposition d’amour.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faith Makau et son pr\u00e9sum\u00e9 agresseur communiquaient ensemble dans une \u00e9glise locale \u00e0 Mwingi. Ils sont \u00e9galement membres de la chorale du groupe de jeunes. S’adressant \u00e0 The Local Reports samedi, Faith, \u00e9tudiante au Kenya Utalii College, campus de Kitui, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que l’incident s’\u00e9tait produit le jeudi 19 ao\u00fbt. Elle a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le suspect \u00e2g\u00e9 de 24 ans qui joue du piano dans leur \u00e9glise lui a dit qu’il \u00e9tait pr\u00eat \u00e0 la tuer apr\u00e8s l’avoir poignard\u00e9e \u00e0 trois reprises dans l’abdomen.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle voulait aider le jeune \u00e0 transporter ses bagages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Makau a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que l’incident s’\u00e9tait produit jeudi \u00e0 9 heures pr\u00e9cises lorsqu’elle avait quitt\u00e9 sa maison dans la ville de Mwingi pour se rendre dans un magasin voisin. Elle affirme qu’elle \u00e9tait sur le point d’obtenir du temps d’antenne lorsqu’elle a rencontr\u00e9 le suspect qui lui a demand\u00e9 de l’aider \u00e0 transporter ses instruments de musique \u00e0 l’\u00e9glise.\u00a0Elle n\u2019a senti aucun danger \u00e0 aider son fr\u00e8re d’\u00e9glise, car il semble qu’il soit normal d’aider un membre de l’\u00e9quipe de jeunes \u00e0 participer aux activit\u00e9s de l’\u00e9glise. Elle a donc d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de l’aider et l’a \u00e9galement accompagn\u00e9 jusqu’\u00e0 sa maison. La coll\u00e9gienne a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu’apr\u00e8s avoir atteint la maison du suspect, elle avait vu deux couteaux de cuisine sur la table, ce qui, selon elle, \u00e9tait une chose normale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La jeune fille ajoute qu’en atteignant la maison du suspect, elle a vu plus de couverts dans le salon mais elle pensait que c’\u00e9tait une chose normale, Makau dit qu’elle est devenue m\u00e9fiante apr\u00e8s que le suspect a verrouill\u00e9 les portes de l’int\u00e9rieur tout en cachant la cl\u00e9 dans sa poche. Le suspect lui aurait alors avou\u00e9 \u00e0 nouveau ses sentiments amoureux et cette derni\u00e8re a rejet\u00e9 ses avances. Selon Makau, le jeune homme lui aurait dit \u00ab Je veux te prouver que si je t’ai pour moi, alors personne d’autre ne le fera \u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 \u00e0 la police que le suspect avait imm\u00e9diatement pris l’un des couteaux sur la table apr\u00e8s avoir fait la d\u00e9claration. Par la suite, il l’a poignard\u00e9e \u00e0 l’abdomen \u00e0 deux reprises face au refus de la fille. Makau se retrouvait trop faible pour crier pour que les gens entendent sa voix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0Selon ses dires, quand elle \u00e9t\u00e9 poignard\u00e9e pour la troisi\u00e8me fois dans l’estomac, elle est tomb\u00e9e et a fait semblant de mourir. C\u2019est en ce moment-l\u00e0, que son fr\u00e8re en christ s\u2019est enfuit et elle s\u2019est lev\u00e9e pour chercher une solution.\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Je me suis lev\u00e9 et j’ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 marcher vers la porte, alors que je souffrais profond\u00e9ment et saignais abondamment\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong><\/em>, a-t-elle d\u00e9clar\u00e9. En atteignant la porte de sortie, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 choqu\u00e9e de le voir revenir. C’est alors qu’elle a rassembl\u00e9 l’\u00e9nergie et le courage de crier \u00e0 l’aide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La victime dit qu’elle criait \u00e0 l’aide ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon le t\u00e9moignage de la jeune fille, malgr\u00e9 ses cris pour appeler du secours, l\u2019homme continuait \u00e0 s’avancer vers elle. \u00ab<\/strong> J’\u00e9tais s\u00fbre qu’il \u00e9tait d\u00e9vou\u00e9 \u00e0 me tuer. N\u00e9anmoins, je l’ai suppli\u00e9 de m’emmener \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital, ou tout simplement de me porter et de m’abandonner sur la route. C’est la derni\u00e8re chose dont je me souviens. J’ai d\u00fb m’effondrer par la suite \u00bb<\/strong><\/em>, a-t-elle d\u00e9clar\u00e9. Il est apparu que c’\u00e9tait son cri d’agonie qui avait attir\u00e9 l’attention des voisins, qui se sont pr\u00e9cipit\u00e9s sur les lieux et l’ont secourue. Makau ne sait plus comment elle s\u2019est rendue \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital de niveau 4 de Mwingi, o\u00f9 elle re\u00e7oit actuellement un traitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La police arr\u00eate le coupable avant que la foule en col\u00e8re ne le tue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les voisins, apr\u00e8s avoir entendu parler de la tentative de meurtre de l’\u00e9tudiant, ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de battre le suspect. Cependant, la police a pu arriver sur les lieux \u00e0 temps avant que la foule en col\u00e8re n’ait tu\u00e9 le suspect.\u00a0Le suspect avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 subi des blessures dont plusieurs \u00e0 la t\u00eate, il a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 emmen\u00e9 \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence du comt\u00e9 de Kitui, o\u00f9 il est soign\u00e9. Les jeunes, toujours en col\u00e8re, sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 attaquer le suspect \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur de l’h\u00f4pital mais, avec l’aide de la police, ils gardent le vice-pr\u00e9sident de l’h\u00f4pital pour emp\u00eacher les r\u00e9sidents de prendre d’assaut l’\u00e9tablissement pour lui faire du mal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
