En effet, le calvaire d’Alex a d\u00e9but\u00e9 en novembre 2014. Il croyait avoir contract\u00e9 un simple rhume. Mais quand il va aux toilettes, il aper\u00e7oit des traces de sang dans son urine. A l’h\u00f4pital, les m\u00e9decins \u00e9tablissent qu\u2019il souffre du syndrome du choc toxique streptocoque de groupe A. Le pronostic vital des sp\u00e9cialistes ne lui donnent que 3% de chances de survie.<\/p>\n
Rapidement, le virus se r\u00e9pand dans tout son organisme et il se manifeste par une d\u00e9faillance de ses organes. Tr\u00e8s vite, il entre dans un coma artificiel pendant une semaine. Ses doigts, ses orteils, ses l\u00e8vres, son nez et une partie de ses oreilles sont devenus noirs. Les m\u00e9decins d\u00e9cident unanimement d\u2019amputer le patient de ses deux bras, des deux jambes, des l\u00e8vres et du nez. Une autre op\u00e9ration de 16 heures sera n\u00e9cessaire pour sauver son bras droit.<\/p>\n
Alex s\u2019est montr\u00e9 courageux et \u00a0a fini par s’en sortir. Aujourd’hui, il a retrouv\u00e9 go\u00fbt \u00e0 la vie et appris \u00e0 se d\u00e9placer avec des proth\u00e8ses. Il a aussi subi de nombreuses interventions chirurgicales au visage. S’il a v\u00e9cu sa revalidation physique comme un calvaire, le plus difficile a \u00e9t\u00e9 la r\u00e9action de son fils, Sam, \u00e2g\u00e9 de trois ans.<\/p>\n
