Ce projet de loi propose que la dot soit fix\u00e9e \u00e0 500 dollars pour les femmes des villes et \u00e0 200 dollars pour les femmes des zones rurales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon M. Mbau, le prix \u00e9lev\u00e9 de la dot emp\u00eache de nombreux jeunes de se marier l\u00e9galement, ce qui entra\u00eene un nombre important de viols. L&rsquo;homme politique esp\u00e8re que le projet de loi aidera \u00e9galement de nombreux jeunes sans emploi et sans argent \u00e0 se permettre de payer la dot et de se marier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le prix de la dot a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 une source majeure d&rsquo;inqui\u00e9tude pour les jeunes couples qui gagnent \u00e0 peine assez de revenus pour leur permettre de financer leurs c\u00e9r\u00e9monies de mariage.
