Il vient ainsi s\u2019ajouter aux quatre autres oc\u00e9ans connus depuis des lustres.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La plan\u00e8te Terre a depuis quelques jours un \u00e9ni\u00e8me oc\u00e9an \u00e0 son actif appel\u00e9 \u2018\u2019Austral\u2019\u2019 ou encore \u2018\u2019southern ocean\u2019\u2019. Cette \u00e9tendue d\u2019eau d\u2019environ 20 millions km2, se trouvant dans l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud du globe autour de l\u2019Antarctique, a officiellement \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnue comme un oc\u00e9an par la National Geographic Society le 08 juin, au cours de la journ\u00e9e mondiale des oc\u00e9ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/var\/www\/vhosts\/afrikmag.compublic_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/IMAGE-OCEAN.png\"><img  title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"756\" height=\"418\" src=\"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/var\/www\/vhosts\/afrikmag.compublic_html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/IMAGE-OCEAN.png\"  alt=\"Environnement: d\u00e9couvrez le nom du 5e oc\u00e9an de la plan\u00e8te terre\"  class=\"wp-image-277583\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.afrikmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/IMAGE-OCEAN.png 756w, https:\/\/www.afrikmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/IMAGE-OCEAN-300x166.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 756px) 100vw, 756px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cet oc\u00e9an qui aspire plus d&rsquo;un tiers du Co2 de l&rsquo;atmosph\u00e8re, vient ainsi s\u2019ajouter aux autres oc\u00e9ans que sont\u00a0: l&rsquo;Atlantique, l&rsquo;Arctique, le Pacifique, l&rsquo;Indien, m\u00eame si sa superficie demeure plus petite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon la National Geographic Society, en reconnaissant officiellement l\u2019oc\u00e9an Austral, elle esp\u00e8re pr\u00e9server ses \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes marins uniques qui ont en leurs seins&nbsp;: des baleines, des pingouins, des phoques\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019oc\u00e9an Austral a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvert en 1937, puis abandonn\u00e9 en 1953, parce qu\u2019il occasionnait plusieurs pol\u00e9miques. Pendant que certains le reconnaissaient comme \u00e9tant un oc\u00e9an, d\u2019autres par contre affirmaient qu\u2019il ne s\u2019agissait que d\u2019une partie froide des oc\u00e9ans Atlantique, Pacifique et Indien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C\u2019est seulement en 2000 que l\u2019OHI, Organisation hydrographique internationale a reconnu l&rsquo;existence de l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Austral.
