Il se raconte que les esprits qui vivent dans ce lieu, \u00e9liminaient sans \u00e9motion les colons blancs qui venaient chercher les esclaves noirs. La dimension que ce lieu \u00e0 la fois mystique que mythique a pris donne encore des frissons au sein de la communaut\u00e9 s\u00e9n\u00e9galaise. Au point o\u00f9 des responsables de l&rsquo;administration publique refusent de s&rsquo;y rendre pour accomplir leurs devoirs. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comme le raconte un habitant de la localit\u00e9, Mingu\u00e8ne Boye est c\u00e9l\u00e8bre en raison des pouvoirs mystiques des tout premiers habitants. Les pouvoirs des habitants de ce village \u00e9taient utilis\u00e9s contre les oppresseurs blancs et la rapine des rois noirs de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u00a0\u00bb Dans le pass\u00e9, certains rois et autres colons venaient souvent dans le village et cherchaient \u00e0 humilier les habitants pour une raison ou une autre. Pour y faire face, les villageois s&rsquo;attaquaient \u00e0 eux de fa\u00e7on mystique; On demandait \u00e0 un tel de s&rsquo;attaquer \u00e0 la t\u00eate, un autre prenait en charge les jambes. De sorte qu&rsquo;une fois arriv\u00e9es, les personnes mal intentionn\u00e9es tombaient malades sans savoir pourquoi\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em> a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 un habitant du village. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Poursuivant, il fait savoir qu&rsquo;aujourd&rsquo;hui toute personne peut entrer dans le village et ressortir sans probl\u00e8me. Insinuant ainsi que depuis le d\u00e9part des colons, les esprits ont fait profil bas. Malgr\u00e9 cette assurance, les autorit\u00e9s pr\u00e9fectorales de Saint-Louis refusent d&rsquo;y aller et exercer leur fonction.
