\u00ab Chaque fois qu’elles montent seules dans une voiture, je m’inqui\u00e8te des suppositions faites par quelqu\u2019un qui ne sait pas tout \u00e0 leur sujet \u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Michelle Obama. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Le fait qu’elles soient de bonnes \u00e9l\u00e8ves et des filles polies, mais qu’elles jouent peut-\u00eatre leur musique un peu fort, peut-\u00eatre que quelqu’un voit juste l’arri\u00e8re de leur t\u00eate et fait une supposition. Moi, comme tant de parents d’enfants noirs … l’acte innocent d’obtenir un permis met la peur dans nos c\u0153urs.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beaucoup d’entre nous [les Noirs] vivent encore dans la peur en allant \u00e0 l’\u00e9picerie, en promenant nos chiens. Je pense que nous devons en parler davantage. Et nous devons demander \u00e0 nos concitoyens d’\u00e9couter un peu plus, et de nous croire, et de savoir que nous ne voulons pas \u00eatre dehors \u00e0 marcher \u00bb<\/em>, a-t-elle ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019ancienne premi\u00e8re dame a \u00e9galement expliqu\u00e9 la d\u00e9claration qu’elle et son mari ont publi\u00e9e en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la condamnation de Derek Chauvin le mois dernier. L’ancien policier de Minneapolis a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnu coupable de meurtre et d’homicide involontaire dans la mort de George Floyd, le 25 mai dernier. La mort de ce p\u00e8re de famille afro-am\u00e9ricain, aux mains de l’ex-flic blanc, a suscit\u00e9 des protestations dans tout le pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s sa condamnation, Barack Obama et son \u00e9pouse ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que si le verdict de culpabilit\u00e9 \u00ab \u00e9tait peut-\u00eatre une \u00e9tape n\u00e9cessaire sur la voie du progr\u00e8s, il \u00e9tait loin d’\u00eatre suffisant \u00bb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
