\u00e9t\u00e9 achev\u00e9 dans le nord du Portugal, o\u00f9 les habitants esp\u00e8rent que l&rsquo;attraction touristique contribuera \u00e0 relancer une r\u00e9gion dont l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9vast\u00e9e par la pand\u00e9mie de Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">perch\u00e9 entre des montagnes rocheuses couvertes de verdure luxuriante et de fleurs jaunes \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur du g\u00e9oparc d&rsquo;Arouca reconnu par l&rsquo;Unesco, le pont de 516 m\u00e8tres (1700 pieds) est suspendu \u00e0 175 m\u00e8tres au-dessus de la rivi\u00e8re Paiva au d\u00e9bit rapide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avant la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d\u2019ouverture officielle de dimanche, les habitants de la ville voisine d\u2019Arouca ont \u00e9t\u00e9 autoris\u00e9s jeudi \u00e0 marcher sur les grilles m\u00e9talliques transparentes de la m\u00e9gastructure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab&nbsp;<em>J&rsquo;avais un peu peur, mais \u00e7a valait vraiment le coup\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Xavier soulag\u00e9 de l&rsquo;autre c\u00f4t\u00e9.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab&nbsp;<em>C&rsquo;\u00e9tait extraordinaire, une exp\u00e9rience unique, une mont\u00e9e d&rsquo;adr\u00e9naline.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La structure, baptis\u00e9e \u00abArouca 516\u00bb, traverse la gorge escarp\u00e9e de la rivi\u00e8re Paiva, qui est d\u00e9j\u00e0 tendue avec 8 km (5 miles) de passerelles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab<em>Je vis ici et quand j&rsquo;ai entendu parler du projet de pont pour la premi\u00e8re fois, je n&rsquo;y croyais pas vraiment\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Macio Soares.&nbsp;&nbsp;\u00ab<em>Mais aujourd&rsquo;hui, je suis tr\u00e8s fier d\u2019\u00eatre ici\u2026 c\u2019est une exp\u00e9rience unique<\/em>\u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;Arouca 516 bat le record du plus long pont suspendu pour pi\u00e9tons, d\u00e9tenu depuis 2017 par le pont Charles Kuonen \u00e0 Randa, dans les Alpes suisses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a
