Le pr\u00e9sident Ghan\u00e9en John Dramani Mahama a vu son intervention boycott\u00e9e par les d\u00e9put\u00e9s de l\u2019opposition \u00c9cossaise, lors de son passage au parlement en \u00c9cosse. Pour cause : ces d\u00e9put\u00e9s lui reprochent le fait que les droits des homos*xuels sont bafou\u00e9s au Ghana, r\u00e9v\u00e8le le site koaci.<\/p>\n

Selon le chef de l\u2019opposition en \u00c9cosse, l\u2019invitation du pr\u00e9sident Mahama dans leur parlement est un affront \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 gay vu que \u00a0\u00bble Ghana est l\u2019un des pays d\u2019Afrique o\u00f9 les homos*xuels et les lesbiennes sont pers\u00e9cut\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous croyons que le parlement \u00e9cossais devrait \u00eatre un endroit o\u00f9 tout le monde peut se sentir en s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Pourtant, l’invitation adress\u00e9e au Pr\u00e9sident John Mahama pour r\u00e9pondre aux d\u00e9put\u00e9s porte atteinte \u00e0 des droits, \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 son appui aux lois discriminatoires horribles envers la communaut\u00e9 LGBT dans son pays \u00bb, fustige l’opposant.
\nEn dehors du grief des d\u00e9put\u00e9s de l\u2019opposition, l\u2019organisation non gouvernementale Amnesty International en \u00c9cosse s\u2019est ralli\u00e9e \u00e0 la controverse en affirmant avoir re\u00e7u des rapports portant sur la violence contre les homos*xuels au Ghana.<\/p>\n

Toutefois, Monsieur Colin Macfarlane le directeur de Stonewall Scotland, une association qui d\u00e9fend les droits des homos*xuels pense comprendre le choix des d\u00e9put\u00e9s de l\u2019opposition qui ont refus\u00e9 de rencontrer le pr\u00e9sident Mahama. Cependant, il regrette que ces d\u00e9put\u00e9s aient manqu\u00e9 l\u2019occasion d\u2019exprimer leurs pr\u00e9occupations au sujet de la discrimination des homos*xuels au Ghana.
