D\u2019abord, une d\u00e9finition de ce que d\u00e9signe la cryptomonnaie est judicieuse pour les nouvelles personnes qui essaient de se familiariser avec cette nouvelle forme de transaction financi\u00e8re. De fait, une cryptomonnaie est une devise num\u00e9rique d\u00e9centralis\u00e9e, qui utilise des algorithmes cryptographiques et un protocole nomm\u00e9 blockchain pour assurer la fiabilit\u00e9 et la tra\u00e7abilit\u00e9 des transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les cryptomonnaies sont donc enti\u00e8rement virtuelles, elles peuvent \u00eatre stock\u00e9es dans un portefeuille num\u00e9rique prot\u00e9g\u00e9 par un code secret appartenant \u00e0 son propri\u00e9taire. Ceci dit en quoi Ethereum vient changer les choses dans ce monde de la finance virtuelle ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ethereum est avant tout propos un protocole \u2018\u2019blockchain\u2019\u2019 imagin\u00e9 par le Vitalik Buterin, un d\u00e9veloppeur russo-canadien. On d\u00e9signe par \u00ab\u00a0blockchain\u00a0\u00bb une technologie qui permet de stocker et transmettre des informations de mani\u00e8re transparente, s\u00e9curis\u00e9e et sans organe central de contr\u00f4le. Ethereum a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 en 2015, et dans le domaine de la cryptomonnaie, il est class\u00e9 deuxi\u00e8me blockchain en termes de valorisation apr\u00e8s Bitcoin. Ethereum permet de d\u00e9velopper des applications d\u00e9centralis\u00e9es, nomm\u00e9es Dapps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mode de fonctionnement d\u2019Ethereum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

De fa\u00e7on simpliste, on peut affirmer que Ethereum fonctionne sur le mod\u00e8le de Bitcoin. Cependant Ethereum va plus loin en permettant la construction d\u2019applications plus complexes. L\u2019une des particularit\u00e9s d\u2019Ethereum, c\u2019est qu\u2019il permet la cr\u00e9ation des contrats qui s’ex\u00e9cutent automatiquement sur le r\u00e9seau suite \u00e0 des conditions pr\u00e9d\u00e9finies. Ce sont \u00ab les Smart contract \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans son mode de fonctionnement, Ethereum poss\u00e8de sa propre cryptomonnaie. Elle se nomme \u00ab l’ether \u00bb, ou tout simplement \u00ab Ethereum \u00bb au sein de la communaut\u00e9. Comme expliqu\u00e9 plus haute, la cryptomonnaie de Ethereum n’est pas \u00e9mise par une banque ou un autre organisme mais par le protocole lui-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A l\u2019instar d’autres crypto-monnaies, l\u2019Ether est mise en circulation via le minage. Les \u00ab\u00a0mineurs\u00a0\u00bb effectuent des calculs math\u00e9matiques avec leur mat\u00e9riel informatique pour le r\u00e9seau afin de confirmer et s\u00e9curiser les transactions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u00e0 o\u00f9 Ethereum met la diff\u00e9rence Bitcoin, est qu\u2019il va au-del\u00e0 du paiement de pair \u00e0 pair, dans lequel son concurrent est ancr\u00e9 uniquement. De plus, des dizaines de milliers de d\u00e9veloppeurs construisent des applications sur Ethereum pour les secteurs de la finance, le divertissement, le cloud ou encore l’immobilier. A ce sujet, la communaut\u00e9 de d\u00e9veloppeurs de la blockchain Ethereum est d’ailleurs l’une des plus grandes et actives au monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cours d’Ethereum<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A ce jour, il n’existe pas de valeur officielle de l’Ethereum. L\u2019Ether demeure un indicateur et une moyenne des cours d’Ethereum (en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral en dollars) sur l’ensemble des plateformes d’\u00e9change de crypto-monnaies du monde. Cependant, comment est d\u00e9termin\u00e9 le cours de l’ether ? Tout simplement par la loi de l’offre et la demande. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour le faire, il faut n\u00e9cessairement garder \u00e0 l’esprit que, comme pour tout actif \u00e0 risquer, il ne faut pas investir plus que ce qu’on peut se permettre de perdre.  Ainsi, il faut au pr\u00e9alable ouvrir un compte sur une plateforme d\u2019\u00e9changes de crypto-monnaies, pour pouvoir acheter, par carte ou par virement bancaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Que savoir du cours d\u2019Ethereum en Euros ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le cours de l’ether est r\u00e9pertori\u00e9 depuis sa cr\u00e9ation mi-2015. Il est le plus souvent exprim\u00e9 en dollars ou en euros. Cependant, il peut aussi se trouver en yen ou yuan du fait de l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat des Asiatiques pour les crypto-monnaies. Le cours de l’ether a connu des grandes variations, comme toutes les autres crypto-monnaies. Il a pour la premi\u00e8re fois pass\u00e9 la barre des 1 000 dollars d\u00e9but janvier 2018 mais est repass\u00e9 sous cette barre symbolique le mois suivant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un Wallet est un portefeuille \u00e9lectronique physique ou num\u00e9rique. Il permet d’\u00e9viter les risques de piratage dont peuvent \u00eatre victimes les plateformes de crypto-monnaies. Ensuite, il permet de contr\u00f4ler vos fonds. Les wallets se compose d\u2019une cl\u00e9 publique, connue de tous, qui correspond \u00e0 une adresse Ethereum, et une cl\u00e9 priv\u00e9e, connue seulement du d\u00e9tenteur du wallet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon les concepteurs d\u2019Ethereum, les wallets physiques ressemblent \u00e0 des cl\u00e9s USB. En ce moment, deux acteurs se disputent le march\u00e9 : le fran\u00e7ais Ledger et le tch\u00e8que Trezor. Les wallets num\u00e9riques, c’est-\u00e0-dire des portefeuilles logiciels, sont accessibles sur ordinateur et mobile. Dans ce registre, on a par exemple, ArcBit, BitGo, Electrum, Mycelium\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D\u00e9j\u00e0 en vogue dans le monde de la finance virtuelle, Ethereum vient De franchir un autre cap. Il s\u2019est s’institutionnalis\u00e9, il y a quelques jours. Le tr\u00e8s s\u00e9rieux Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) a lanc\u00e9 le 8 f\u00e9vrier 2021 un contrat \u00e0 terme sur Ethereum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour faire simple, il faut savoir qu\u2019un contrat \u00e0 terme (ou futures en anglais) est un instrument financier qui permet d’acheter ou vendre un actif sous-jacent \u00e0 un date et \u00e0 un prix fix\u00e9s \u00e0 l’avance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce nouveau produit va permettre de faire rentrer les investisseurs qualifi\u00e9s sur le march\u00e9 de l’ether puisqu’il s’agit d’un produit r\u00e9gul\u00e9. En 24 heures, apr\u00e8s ce contrat, le cours de l’ether a augment\u00e9 de 12% et oscille actuellement autour des 1 720 dollars.
