Il est poursuivi pour crimes contre l&rsquo;humanit\u00e9 pour des exactions commises pendant l&rsquo;\u00e9pop\u00e9e des Seleka contre le G\u00e9n\u00e9ral Boziz\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le chef rebelle Mahamat Said Abdel Kani \u00e9galement connu comme \u00ab&nbsp;Mahamat Said Abdel Kain&nbsp;\u00bb et \u00ab&nbsp;Mahamat Sa\u00efd Abdelkani&nbsp;\u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 remis \u00e0 la Cour p\u00e9nale internationale le 24 janvier par les autorit\u00e9s de la R\u00e9publique centrafricaine. Il \u00e9tait sous le coup d&rsquo;un mandat d&rsquo;arr\u00eat de la CPI d\u00e9livr\u00e9 le 7 janvier 2019 pour des soup\u00e7ons de crimes de guerre et de crimes contre l&rsquo;humanit\u00e9  commis \u00e0 Bangui (RCA) en 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon le juge unique de la Chambre pr\u00e9liminaire II, Rosario Salvatore Aitala, il existe \u00ab\u00a0<em>des motifs raisonnables de croire qu&rsquo;un conflit arm\u00e9 ne pr\u00e9sentant pas de caract\u00e8re international \u00e9tait en cours sur le territoire de la RCA, entre au moins mars 2013 et au moins janvier 2014, entre la S\u00e9l\u00e9ka (une coalition de groupes arm\u00e9s principalement compos\u00e9e de musulmans oppos\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;ancien pr\u00e9sident Fran\u00e7ois Boziz\u00e9) et les anti-Balaka (un mouvement oppos\u00e9 \u00e0 la S\u00e9l\u00e9ka et soutenant l&rsquo;ancien pr\u00e9sident Fran\u00e7ois Boziz\u00e9)\u00a0\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le 24 septembre 2014, Mme Fatou Bensouda, Procureur de la CPI, a ouvert une enqu\u00eate sur cette situation. La CPI a ouvert une autre affaire en cours dans cette situation, concernant Alfred Yekatom et Patrice-Edouard Nga\u00efssona. L\u2019ouverture du proc\u00e8s dans cette affaire est pr\u00e9vue le 9 f\u00e9vrier 2021.
