Le monde politique lui rend hommage, abasourdi.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon le Daily Graphic, m\u00e9dia officiel ghan\u00e9en, John Jerry Rawlings est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t ce jeudi 12 novembre de complications cardiaques. L&rsquo;ex-pr\u00e9sident ghan\u00e9en a rendu l&rsquo;\u00e2me au Korle Bu Teaching Hospital de Accra o\u00f9 il a \u00e9t\u00e9 rapidement pris en charge. Cependant, d&rsquo;autres sources pensent que Rawlings pourrait avoir succomb\u00e9 \u00e0 la Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rawling avait \u00e9t\u00e9 intern\u00e9 dans cet h\u00f4pital pendant une semaine pour une maladie dont la nature n&rsquo;avait pas \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9voil\u00e9e. Mais au Ghana, tout le monde a vu la sant\u00e9 de Rawlings se d\u00e9grader \u00e0 la suite du d\u00e9c\u00e8s de sa g\u00e9nitrice qu&rsquo;il a enterr\u00e9e il y a moins d&rsquo;un mois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N\u00e9 en 1947, le capitaine d&rsquo;aviation John Jerry Rawlings est entr\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;histoire du Ghana en perp\u00e9trant un coup d&rsquo;Etat pour mettre un terme \u00e0 l&rsquo;instabilit\u00e9 de ce pays. En effet, depuis son ind\u00e9pendance, le Ghana \u00e9tait devenu une terre de putschs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 1979, il d\u00e9cide de prendre le pouvoir et va engager le Ghana vers des reformes qui feront de ce pays plus tard un exemple de d\u00e9mocratie en Afrique de l&rsquo;ouest et sur le continent<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fils de Victoria Agbotui, une ghan\u00e9enne, et James Ramsey John  un chimiste \u00e9cossais nomm\u00e9 . A l\u2019\u00c9tat civil Jeremiah John Rawlings d\u00e9bute ses \u00e9tudes \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9cole d\u2019Achimota. Il les poursuivra au coll\u00e8ge de la ville, avant de rejoindre l\u2019arm\u00e9e de l\u2019air. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En janvier 1969, il est nomm\u00e9 sous-lieutenant d&rsquo;aviation. Il poursuit son \u00e9volution au sein de l\u2019arm\u00e9e de l\u2019air jusqu\u2019en 1978, ann\u00e9e o\u00f9 il est nomm\u00e9 capitaine d&rsquo;aviation, \u00e0 31 ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img  title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agenceecofin.com\/images\/hebdo\/20190513\/Jerry_Rawlings2.jpg\"  alt=\"Ghana\/ La cause de la mort de l&#039;ex-pr\u00e9sident John Jerry Rawlings r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e\"  width=\"579\" height=\"582\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il \u00e9tait devenu le porte \u00e9tendard des d\u00e9mocrates africains qui aspiraient \u00e0 plus de libert\u00e9 et de d\u00e9mocratie. Sa c\u00e9l\u00e8bre phrase sur les conditions d\u00e9mocratiques leur restera en souvenir. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>Ce que nous voulons faire du Ghana, c&rsquo;est de mettre en place des institutions et pratiques tellement fortes que m\u00eame si le diable lui m\u00eame venait \u00e0 diriger ce pays qu&rsquo;i ne puisse pas faire ce qu&rsquo;il veut mais soit oblig\u00e9 de respecter les lois en place<\/em>.\u00a0\u00bb avait-il profess\u00e9 en 1986.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>C&rsquo;est un jour triste pour le Ghana.
