Le plus souvent, les populations sont oblig\u00e9es de parcourir de longues distances ou se lever tard dans la nuit pour recueillir le pr\u00e9cieux liquide, indique le quotidien la Nouvelle Expression.<\/p>\n<p>Dans ses colonnes, le journal fait intervenir des r\u00e9sidents de Douala qui racontent leurs difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 obtenir de la bonne eau.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abJe suis dans ce quartier depuis 1973 avant on puisait l\u2019eau \u00e0 travers les bornes fontaines de la Snec install\u00e9es presque partout dans le quartier. Depuis que cette entreprise camerounaise qui produisait et distribuait l\u2019eau a \u00e9t\u00e9 privatis\u00e9 vers les ann\u00e9es 1990, le probl\u00e8me d\u2019eau a commenc\u00e9. On partait chercher de l\u2019eau dans les quartiers voisins comme Nilon ou Bonaloka pour boire. Aujourd\u2019hui c\u2019est le m\u00eame sc\u00e9nario qui se vit\u00bb<\/em>,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>relate\u00a0<strong>Blaise Oumb\u00e9<\/strong>, un habitant du quartier Brazzaville \u00e0 Douala.<\/p>\n<p>En parcourant l\u2019article, on apprend que Blaise<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00abest oblig\u00e9 de marcher des kilom\u00e8tres pour s\u2019approvisionner. Et, c\u2019est dans les quartiers voisins comme<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>Sobom<\/em><\/strong><em>,<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>Nilon<\/em><\/strong><em>, ou<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>Bonaloka<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>et parfois<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>Ndokotti<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><em>qu\u2019il va avec les habitants de ce quartier s\u2019approvisionner\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>C\u2019est exemple n\u2019est pas un cas isol\u00e9 dans une ville qui fait tr\u00e8s souvent face \u00e0 des \u00e9pid\u00e9mies de chol\u00e9ra.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00ab<\/em><strong><em>Elie Tcheumeuleu<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>habite le quartier<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>New-Town A\u00e9roport III<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>dans l\u2019arrondissement de Douala 3\u00e8me depuis 1987depuis environ neuf ans, il affirme n\u2019avoir jamais entendu parler de la Camwater\u00a0 et de la camerounaise des eaux(Cde). Depuis\u00a0 2006, il se ravitaille dans les forages comme nombreux des habitants de ce quartier. M\u00eame si la qualit\u00e9\u00a0 d\u2019eau est douteuse, il dit ne pas avoir le choix puisqu\u2019il n\u2019a pas mieux. A c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l\u2019eau de forage, c\u2019est dans les nombreux puits d\u2019eau am\u00e9nag\u00e9s dans ce quartier que la plupart des populations s\u2019approvisionnent en eau potable\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Cette situation perdure malgr\u00e9 les privatisations successives et les installations effectu\u00e9es dans la ville.
