Pour Antonio Guterres, des millions de personnes \u00ab\u00a0<em>pourraient basculer dans la pauvret\u00e9 extr\u00eame<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb avec la pand\u00e9mie.  Guterres a par ailleurs appel\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0<em>une solidarit\u00e9 internationale<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb accrue pour le continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>La pand\u00e9mie menace les progr\u00e8s accomplis en Afrique. Elle aggravera les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s existantes et accentuera la faim, la malnutrition et la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 face \u00e0 la maladie<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0, ajoute-t-il.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le Secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l&rsquo;ONU a reconnu que \u00ab\u00a0jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, le nombre de cas signal\u00e9s est plus faible que ce que l&rsquo;on craignait\u00a0\u00bb. \u00ab\u00a0<em>Le virus a fait plus de 2 500 morts en Afrique\u00a0\u00bb, note-t-il n\u00e9anmoins. La pand\u00e9mie n&rsquo;en est selon lui \u00ab\u00a0qu&rsquo;\u00e0 ses d\u00e9buts<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb en Afrique, o\u00f9 \u00ab\u00a0<em>les perturbations pourraient s&rsquo;intensifier rapidement<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon lui, \u00ab\u00a0<em>les pays d&rsquo;Afrique doivent b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier du m\u00eame acc\u00e8s rapide, \u00e9quitable et abordable \u00e0 tout vaccin et traitement \u00e0 venir, qui doivent \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme des biens publics mondiaux<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>Il faut imp\u00e9rativement faire preuve de solidarit\u00e9 mondiale avec l&rsquo;Afrique,&nbsp;d\u00e8s aujourd&rsquo;hui et pour mieux se redresser.
